Ravens, Bengals, and Chiefs all lose. #1 seed should be a lock but the stupid losses. Comes down to the Patriots game. Got to beat the Titans and keep our eyes on the Jags. We lose one more and Jags win out they could steal a #2 seed. As crazy as that sounds. Divison pretty much a lock.

    Indeed.

Much like last season, win out.

We win them all and the number one seed will be ours. If not, more than likely number two.

Next game needs to be a must win. Keep that mindset the rest of the season.

Should be able to win out with maybe that pats game being the exception. Would love to beat their ass but history dictates they will always own us

I hope your wrong about that.

Should we fail against New England.... Oh man....Gillette Stadium?...

More like "Guillotine Valley". It is impossible to win there.

    There is a possible positive.

Should Jacksonville win and New England does claim number one in the end, here is hoping "Sacksonville" can take them out for us.

Should we advance playing our opponent in the AFC Championship game against Jacksonville, our odds are much, much better.

I can already see how the #2 seed goes. We get the Chiefs and Pats get somebody like the Jags.

Week off and Chiefs/Pats playing each other is best case.

The Steelers play the Colts next week, they actually played a decent game today and won. That game might be tougher than expected.

The Colts stink and have gotten blown out several times already this season. Their only wins before today were against the Browns and 49ers who both have yet to win a game. Nothing is a given especially for the Steelers but they should win this game in Indy without much of a problem next weekend.

Wait, weren't you toeing the "to be the best, you've got to beat the best" mantra in another thread? ;)

Let’s hope we don’t lay an egg versus Indy. I’ve seen this team stumble versus the much lesser lights.

I really don't think the Pats are going to run the table. They've got another loss in them.

Denver is going to be fired up next week after today's drubbing. They aren't going to be an easy win for the Pats. Playing Buffalo in Buffalo in December is never fun. And the Dolphins the week before they play us might be a trap game for them, especially if we're still sitting on 2 losses.

Like I said, I think they've got another loss in them.

If we beat the Patsies, we can lose one game along the way and lock down 1 seed.

    I did!

I was using that example though as a contingent should we fall to New England again.

Unfortunately, for several years now, the Steelers have approached these easily winnable games with this same attitude, and almost always show up unprepared and then losing.

we fear no team. bring em on whomever it is. we can't take the easy way out and hope someone else beats a team for us. we have to beat whomever they put us against if we want the big prize. it's that simple. play and win. :herewego!::cool:

If we beat them in the regular season, we'd probably need a radically different gameplan if we met them in the play-offs.

Looking at Jaguars schedule, they have an easy route to the playoffs. Wouldnt be surprised to see them again on the playoffs. Can you imagine saying that at the beginning of the year.

Jags have an awesome defense, in fact probably the best in the NFL. They are not a threat though because...

    Blake Bortles. lol

damn that feeling when bortles has as many td's as ben with 4 less picks, and a better passer rating.
    LOL

In a perfect world someone else will knock off NE so our Steelers have a cakewalk right?! I say the monkey needs to be removed from the back and I would welcome another swing at NE in the playoffs. Hopefully from Heinz. So let's see what happens on the 17th of December.

Personally I will route hard for ANY team to take NE down. The last thing I want to see is another NE Super Bowl victory. The way Atlanta gave that game away last year was sickening...
