What's even more crazy about this is the fact that KC had a ton of penalty yards and still thumped them. Generally, that has been a recipe for disaster.

You know it is not for such a narcissistic, stuck up franchise; its sycophant fanbase doubly so.

That is a vintage Andy Reid win.

So honestly, did anyone pick KC tonight in the Pick Em? I was so tempted and kept changing it back and forth ......but Game 1 - At New England - Hyped Crowd - Hyped Announcers - Refs would get caught up in the hype - no way Brady and Bill lose this one. As they say though on any given Thursday............awesome show. KC just wrote the 2017-18 playbook for every other NE opponent this year (wishful thinking).

    Smith > Brady :club:

Most points (42) ever given up by a Billy B defense ever!!!!!!!! Most points by Pats since 1993! Broke streak of 78 straight wins when leading at half at home. Very historic upset tonight and ironically no one outside of Massachusetts is upset at all.

And we all need to sign the Get Well card for Eric Berry for taming the Gronk so well tonight. Looks like Berry may be out the rest of the year with an Achilles injury. That should help Steelers when they travel to KC Oct 15.

I just watched the game a second time as I recorded it and I now know why teams can't get to Brady much. I counted 37 blatant holds by the right guard, center, and left tackle, the left tackle was bad as he had 14 himself. I know holding happens almost every play but these were bad where the lineman was beat and just grabbed the defender, when your line can hold any QB can be great when there isn't worry about having time, what a shame this happens in the league.

So I was watching on the 'game in 40 minute version' - two questions:

    1. The Pats had 1st and goal early in the game, ran it in, called back on a penalty for holding. The next play, they were still at the same scrimmage line. What happened?

    2. Because I was getting late for work, I skipped from the Pats leading 17-7 to the Chiefs being up 28-27. WHAT HAPPENED???

Was it just the Pats losing all of their receivers? Looked a completely different game in the 4th...

To your first, initially called penalty on NE but then off setting penalties is why the left it at the 1. Although never said what the Chiefs penalty was.

As far as your second, the Chiefs just started making plays and self inflicted wounds but the Pats weren't clicking

Thank you Thorn for responding to this back when I started the thread - I delay watch as much as possible to avoid sitting through commercials and missed that delayed explanation by Al Michael a few plays later. Alex Smith did his best Tom Brady impression in the 2nd half with tons of time to throw and pinpoint accuracy - it was a thing of beauty for sure. Once the Chefs were up and Amendola was out injured KC started pass rushing 4-5 which knocked Marsha on her butt several times and made him look like a washed up 40 yr old QB.
