Of course it is. Can't believe I have to break this down. My comment was partially tongue in cheek. However, not completely impossible, considering the Patriots past cheating scandals. The Chargers knew what the playing surface is/was at Gillette. What if the Patriots changed the surface before the game and their players had the right cleats, but their opponents had different cleats because they were expecting something different? Perhaps a far-fetched idea, but not out of the realm of possibility that the pats did something shady to gain an advantage over their opponent. Multiple different Chargers players on both sides of the ball were on the ground from losing their footing several times. Does it not seem a bit odd that a team who plays on turf doesn't have good footing on a turf field? In my mind, something to ponder, thus the . Patriots have earned that kind of scrutiny with their well chronicled and proven history of cheating.

 

You think the teams travel with only 1 set of cleats? Its still each teams responsibility to have the proper cleats for their players.
