They'll draft Mac Jones if he's there, fits that system perfectly.

Pats took their lumps in 2020, swallowed their cap issues, sucked for a year and now they are reloading.

Steelers could be in a similar place next offseason

Hopefully the Patriots will remain in a QB drought like the Steelers did between Bradshaw and Roethlisberger.

I don't see it. Pittsburgh thinks they're too good to pay people.

Being offseason warriors doesn’t translate to anything. Look at these paper champions.

They're trying to recreate the 2 headed te monster they had in gronk and Hernandez.. surround them with average wr's and you have have their old offense minus tom Brady..
Henry and smith can definitely make noise together on the field (at least until they get injured, which for them, is a common occurance).... Problem with that is seldom do you find success by trying to bring back the past..... You have to evolve, and so far, I'm not impressed

I expect much of the Steelers offseason spending next year will involve their own guys, TJ, Minkah, Nelson and others, and getting some good guys to fill gaps from there. Hopefully they find some guys in the next two drafts as well.

Pats roster is dreadful, utterly dreadful after years of bad drafting. I dont think the Steelers will need to do what the Pats are currently doing, they are coming from a better base IMO.

You might want to consider the coaches of those teams none of which were Bill Belichick. It could change your whole perspective. In all fairness the Dolphins were a good team. Not everybody can make it in.

On offense they were but not defense. But they never really dedicated the draft to offense. Nkeal Harry was like the 1st wr they took in the 1st rd I think in brady's entire career there.

Secondary is ageing but still good, but their front seven is not, their offence is terrible, they went with Michel the RB in the first round year before Harry, neither stuck.

Either way I don’t think the Steelers will have as many holes to fill and I also trust them a bit more with two drafts between now and the start of the 2022 season. Steelers have never dedicated their drafts to offence either, Decastro in 2012 was the last first rounder on offence, and it shows, but at least they have a few receivers that can get open and get down the field, there is a lot more to work with there.

That doesn’t mean I expect the Steelers to be more successful in the long term, I just think they have drafted a lot better in the recent past.

It's better now but yes it was terrible in the past. Part of that could of been cause brady can do more with less so they didny have to shell out for the big bucks. And remember last year they lost Hightower who's the qb of the defense and best front 7 player and aptrick hung who plays a rover/hybrid in the box safety role due to covid. And they let go off van noy who likely is returning back. They will be better this yr. And with all that they still went 7-9.

Know what is interesting Blast?! One actual aspect that is, for whatever reason, lost in the shuffle. I do not see Tom Brady on the Patriots active roster. Know what that means?!

Unless Matt Judon becomes a double digit sack player, Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith having the best output for a Tight End duo in NFL History, the opt outs perform as well as they did in 2019 and Bill Belichick lands some SERIOUS home runs in the 2021 Draft, all I hear from those that fear the Patriots is the same aspect I hear every year:
