Get Mohamed Sanu from Atlanta for a second round draft pick.

Smart move for Billy and Tommy as they make one last push for the 19-0 season that eluded them when the NYG stopped them in SB.

Belicheat overpaid for the run this year imo. Sanu is not worth a 2nd. Well maybe round 2, 32nd selection, god da*# Cheats.

Yeah, they're all in to win now. Brady's time is almost up.

I think the move for Sanu is because they don’t trust Gordon to stay healthy / eligible.

Brady’s time is nearly up but I don’t expect a collapse once he leaves as long as Belichick is there. He is the bigger factor in their success by some distance IMO.

Yeah, Gordon is very unreliable. So much wasted potential.

They will be a perennial playoff team even after Brady retires. They wont be racking up superbowls at their usual rate unless the hoodie finds another decent QB.

He will find another QB don’t you worry. Dont get me wrong Brady is brilliant and there is no arguing with his record but he is more replaceable than his fan club would like to acknowledge.

Belichick however is not replaceable imo, and I think they will be just another team once he goes unless they get outrageously lucky and find another genius coach that can scheme and build a roster like he does. He is probably the best coach in any sport ever.

They’ve put Gordon on IR although he is seemingly saying he is healthy. Looks like it’s over for him in Boston if that’s the case.

The Patriots have a lot of anticipated picks for the next draft. Now most of them are sixth and seventh round picks, but they'll be able to package them up with their thirds to move up if they want. So yeah, a second for Sanu was pricey, but they could afford it.

Here are their picks after the trade.

    1st round (own)
    - 3rd round (own)
    - 3rd round (projected compensatory pick: Trey Flowers)
    - 3rd round (projected compensatory pick: Trent Brown)
    - 4th round (via Chicago Bears)
    - 6th round (via Houston Texans: Keion Crossen trade)
    - 6th round (via Denver Broncos: Duke Dawson trade)
    - 6th round (projected compensatory pick: Malcom Brown)
    - 6th round (projected compensatory pick: Cordarrelle Patterson)
    - 7th round (via Seattle Seahawks)
    - 7th round (via Falcons)
    - 7th round (via Philadelphia Eagles)
