I mentioned this potential Graham hire here as soon as McCarthy was hired. Graham is experienced, but still a young man that is able to play a lot of different schemes to fit the talent of the roster.

He has also a guy that has gotten some very well-rated defenses on small budgets. Let's not judge a coach because he was trapped in a bad organization and on bad teams. He got some real production on bad teams.

I don't know that he is going to be a homerun, I simply ask that everyone be patient until we see what these coaches are able to put together. It's easy to be down on things because some people didn't get the hire they were hoping for. I will start evaluating things once something actually starts happening. It makes no sense to label everyone and everything a failure before a single step has been taken in the process of building the team.

I don’t know much about him just like I don’t know about many assistants in the NFL but statistically his defenses have not been good. That’s worrisome I would assume? Still more worried about bringing back AR please no please no.

He still deserves the benefit of the doubt since his teams were awful, like the Raiders and the Giants, and their biggest problem was their offense, which was worse than the current Steelers offense!

If you look at some advanced stats like DVOA, the Raiders were above average on defense in recent years... It's possible he's not good, but he deserves a chance since he was on some awful teams.

I'm confident he'll be a big improvement over Austin!

I like Graham. That's a good hire. Versatile guy with success above the talent he had. Keep adding.

I keep reading things like this. Other than Crosby, Roberts and Terrell Edmunds, I only recognize a few names on their defensive roster from 2025. I said “who?” so much reading it that I felt like a stuttering owl. I’d have some cautious optimism if he’s the guy.

Eagles may lose DC to retirement.

    Schwartz could go there.

You aren't overreacting. This guy sucks ass. All these optimistic stats are pathetic. This guy sucks. You pick coordinators from the ****ing Raiders?! Are you ****ing me? Might as well have kept Austin, he's just as ****ty on 3rd down. Unreal.

Would be a great move... provided that Cleveland allows it. Remember that he is still under contract. The Eagles would have to acquire him someway. I would defer to @Thor@Thor for how something like that would go but I don't ever recall a team trading for a Coordinator personally.

Scheming to the strengths of the talent you have and not a square peg in a round hole approach? What is this sorcery.

Kidding aside, sounds good but we’ll see how it translates to the field.

I read a quote that he wants out and if it has to get ugly, Schwartz has no problem getting ugly. Sounds about right :lolol:

Who do you want? Slim pickings. Most established guy out there is Raheem Morris and he will probably land one of the remaining HC jobs.

Weaver is another guy I wanted but it’s no surprise McCarthy went with guys he has worked with, thats how it usually goes.

Graham has had a bare cupboard for the most part during his 3 stops as a DC and still finished about 15 spots higher in yards allowed and passing yards allowed than our high priced defense did. He only finished lower in rushing yards allowed but he would be working with the most talent he has had to date when he starts here.
