Cool. I am THAT guy that is constantly trying to get others to laugh. Dry wit, sarcastic far too often and occasionally self-deprecating, but I love to make my friends, family and co-workers laugh. Life is too short to be always pissed-off, always triggered, always political or always wallowing in self-inflicted misery. Even I have a day or two like that and I have to remind myself to stop self-pitying today, no one else gives a crap if you feel miserable, they'll just make sure to avoid you making you more miserable.

...but I digress. Go Steelers! Let us work arount our subpar coaching and win a playoff game in 2025. Let us nail the draft and free agency and very suddenly become so talented even Tomlin can't mess it up.

Pat Meyer OL coach. He was OL coach for the Chargers and Bears both before being hired by the Steelers. Both of those OL were ranked top half to top 10 in rushing production and fewest sacks allowed under Meyer. His '21 Panthers team got hit with the injury bug resulting in 14 different OL starting combinations. Not a good year stats-wise but I would call it more of incomplete. Starting his 3rd season.

Isaac Williams assistant OL coach. His experience is as a collegiate OL coach/run game coordinator. His 2 years with the Steelers is his only NFL experience. I wonder how much we are using him as a run game coordinator. Starting his 3rd season.

Mike Sullivan Head Offensive Assistant. NFL experience at OC/offensive play caller, QB Coach, and WR Coach. 20 years total experience. Starting his 4th season.

Arthur Smith OC. 11 years and 4HCs with the Titans ending his career there as OC. His 2 seasons as OC his offense was top 5 ranked in the NFL. His offense averaged 2.8pts/drive. His 2 seasons as HC of the Falcons his offense was the 3rd ranked rushing offense. 14 years NFL experience coaching offense. Starting his 2nd season.

The point of all this is to point out these coaches have experience and have had success. The longest tenured with the Steelers is entering his 4th season on staff. It is my opinion we have a good enough offensive coaching staff to be successful. Khan, Weidl, and Tomlin are putting the pieces together through the draft and FA. I have said this before, and I'll repeat myself here, the Steelers will be competing for the SB before the end of the 2027 season.

You guys remember when Justin Herbert looked like the next big thing? That was when Tom Arth was his QB Coach. Now he's ours.

The two players being bandied about as coaching success stories are the exact two “least touched” by said coaching. They’re rooks.:hmm:

Matt Canada being allowed to remain as Coordinator in 2023 sure as hell traumatized me.

And therein is a problem. If you are letting a coach's contract expire, it means they saw no reason to keep him, which means you probably should have cut him sooner. Being loyal can be a fault as much as a virtue.

I dont understand why Meyer is staying other than Art II just doesn't want to keep firing staff and have to pay the remainder of their contract.

same goes for Austin, maybe Tomlin too.

Because the owner is a tight wad. And will keep mediocrity because he doesn't want to have someone sitting around robbing one of his many safes full of cash.

Yes I would like to see Bags Tomlin go back to the beginning when he first came in and had elite coordinators then all he had to do was be a mouth piece.

To pin the defensive woes on "Am I awake" Austin would be guilt for Bags Tomlin. Its his scheme lock stock and barrel.

Art II giving Bags Tomlin the keys to the football side of the franchise with no one to answer to was a mistake. And here we sit.
