Hey guys I need help on where to park for the game Sunday. We are staying in Cranberry so we will be coming in from the North I guess. What should I do for parking and how much is it going to cost? BTW I can't wait for the game. We went all around today and took some pics. :yeehaw:

Here are a number of threads about coming to town...parking...etc.

...here was my recommendation that I've said many o times.........

We always park downtown and walk across the Roberto C. bridge and to the game...its only $5-10 to park, depending on the lot and maybe a 10-15 minutes walk. Its a quick and easy option.

Here are a few links about parking near the stadium and downtown:

    http://www.alcoparking.com/downtown.html

    http://parkpgh.org/

This last one is the best site of the bunch (it tells how full lots are/etc). We usually park in the Ft Duq and 6th lot (or somewhere near there)...last time this one was full but the next block over there was a regular lot that was open and we parked there.

Some will say park in Station Square and take the boats over/etc...while you can do that...its not the greatest option.

    There you go...

Dont just assume because someone mentions a hotel that might be around Pittsburgh that they offer this...Cranberry Twp is around 25-30 minutes away...and may not have a shuttle that goes that far (plus who would want to ride a shuttle that long, haha). Not that I know every hotel up there...but from what I've heard/been told...its generally ones that are in or right around town that will offer this.

My rule of thumb is that I leave my house (25min away) at kick off minus 3 hours. Plenty of time to park and have a few. I always park at one of the two garages just past the corner of General Robinson and Federal Street by PNC park. Both $35 and are the closest non reserved lots that you will run into.

When my wife and I came in for the Jets game we were lucky, in that the hospital chain she works for has a campus about a mile from Heinz. We parked there and walked. Along the way, I saw that vacant lots were being used for parking at 35-40 bucks a pop! The day before, we park in a building on the other side of the river for $10 and walked over the Clemente bridge. Pitt was playing that day and there were still lots of spaces available. Not sure what it would be like for a Steelers game. :yeehaw: :yeehaw:

I always wondered how much those cost. I thought about trying there one game (before we found where we park now)...to save 25-30 bucks I'll walk the extra 1/4-1/2 mile across the Robert C. bridge. Also that is not the closest non reserved lot...Rivers Casino is...but they charged $40-50 or so to park...when they doubled their rate from $20 to $40 we stopped parking there.

You're right the Rivers is closer. But I always go in Gate B so I always park on that side of the stadium. That side is easier to get in and out of for me plus thats the side of the stadium with all of the options for eats and drinks before/after the game.

Parking has gotten outrageous in the past few years. I haven't been to a game this year so $35 are last years prices. It could very well be $40 now. Earlier in the season the walk across the bridge wouldn't be bad, but come Nov/Dec Im trying to get close.

Yeah we always go in Gate A no matter where we parked at (sometimes we exit other places but still). And yeah the way they like to rip people off to take up a small space in their lot or garage is ridiculous.

Hahaha....tough it out its only an extra 1/4 or so....if you can sit in possibly freezing cold during a game...then you can walk a couple extra minutes (and save a chunk of money to where you can buy more beers or w/e you drink/eat during the game)...hahaha. Come on now!! :herewego:
