Panthers might trade Johnson in a few weeks

I couldn't see them trading for DJ.
I'm not sure what they can do as far as trades go.

Apparently, former Saint WR Michael Thomas (Set single season record for catches) wants to play and seems to be able to - pending physical.
Personally, I would bring him in for a look.
I can't see him returning to that 149-catch form but worth kicking the tires.

If I were a betting man, I'd probably wager they stand pat with what they have.

 

Media seemed to think that. Even Shannon made a point to say how much the media made up stuff on teams that were never interested.

 

I don't think they will,,but if they can bring back a Safety that nobody else wanted(T. Edmunds) then I can't actually say what they might, or might not actually do.

 

They had a trade in place for him. They had an agreement in place for a contract extension. That wasn't made up.

 

It is a different situation because I don't think they had any character issues with Edmunds. He simply wasn't good enough.

I don't know about biggest draft bust,....been a whole hell of a lot of those, but He really looks bad so far.

 

It looks really bad for the Panthers because Stroud looks like a franchise QB they passed on .

 

I couldn’t see Johnson being back but they definitely need to upgrade the receiver position.

It’s a pity that they messed around with Aiyuk for so long because they would have almost certainly got something else done with another WR over the offseason

Young is awful but no one can be a bigger bust that Russell because he was so lazy after his monster pay check who was huge at that time.At the end,he was a 300 lbs QB

Yes, I understand the arguments for Young, because of Stroud and also the awful trade, but Russell was the laziest player in sports history...The minimum you ask of a player is to try and Russell was incapable of doing that!

The panthers have also such a bad owner,in the level of Dan Snyder.The panthers will never win with Tepper as owner

 

This is what makes me laugh when people talk about GMs being all knowing. Honestly who thought B. Young looked, and or played better than Stroud???? Yet a lot of GMs just overlooked Stroud.
I'm far from a GM, and I repeatedly said CJ was the best Qb out of Ohio State I've ever seen.

 

i am not sure anyone says GMs are all knowing. I guess you mean some fans do that. but they are not - so we agree. they do the best they can. Some of us could be GM's - yes, I said it.

I was meaning the Fans that like to say....Well if You know so much why aren't You a GM, or the Oh that's why Your not a GM, and so forth. I've known many people I would trust making picks in a draft than some of the GMs I've seen in the NFL . Hell I know a few on this board that I've seen pick better than some GMs . LoL

 

They sure as hell won't be trading him to Pittsburgh. The Panthers, Giants, Raiders, Broncos and a few others are going nowhere this season. I hope Omar is looking into guys like Darius Slayton, Courtland Sutton and Jakobi Meyers.
