they only have 38 players under contract through 2022 and are 37 million over the projected cap.even if they unload rodgers they will still be 20+ million over the cap.

Seems false. They only have three players making over $10M and 6 making over $5M.

    Source?

You must be a guy who believes everything he reads on the internet. :roflmao:

I feel it is appropriate to request the source of an information table.

you are looking at 2021 salaries. the info i posted is for 2022. keep in mind that -37 million is only for 38 players, not 53. their FO has some serious discussions and planning ahead ...:roflmao:
you know aaron rodgers aint going to do them any favors.

That one's better thanks. Looking at base salary didn't help. Cobb and Zadarius Smith gone for sure. Rework Rodgers contract because Love isn't a franchise QB. They'll probably cut Preston Smith too and draft an OLB to start opposite Gary.

So cut the two high paid OLB and Randall Cobb, and re-work Rodgers' contract. That's not even that big of a deal if they can push move Rodgers' cap hit back.

Going to have to pay Rodgers way more than they should at his age. Probably why he's always smirking. Gonna get a Bobby Bonilla deal.

aarons got em by the balls, and the relationship he has had with the FO has always been strained. when they drafted love instead of a receiver he was not happy. i kinda think he might enjoy watching them crash and burn from another city. i guess we'll have to wait and see. although i wouldnt be at all surprised if he retired because of this covid nonsense. he is on pat Mcaffee's show every week. best sports show there is.

I could definitely see Aaron leave. Would love to see him go to the 49ers for a couple years. I think that would make everyone happy but Packers fans.

Adams is their only good receiver and I don't see how they re-sign him. Probably should have drafted one instead of Jordan Love and signing Cobb...

I watch that show too sometimes. The Colts meltdown take was hilarious.

They better spend it on an OL. Burrow still getting killed. Maybe spend big on a RT to keep Watt from killing him.

. The Saints can convert that $9 million roster bonus into a signing bonus which would be prorated across the four remaining years of the contract (with a fifth automatically-voided “ghost year” in 2026 to help spread the hit out further). That lowers his 2022 salary cap hit from $12.325 million down to $5.125 million while adding $1.8 million to each subsequent year, a savings of $7.2 million. Not bad at all considering Hill was originally set to head out as a free agent while leaving $8.9 million behind on the books in dead money. And that comes up to 2.5% of the 2022 salary cap ceiling ($208.2 million) with Hill on the roster post-restructure compared to 4.3% in dead money leaving with him before this extension was signed.

    https://saintswire.usatoday.com/lists/saints-taysom-hill-contract-details-salary-cap-hit/

They have all their ways to circumvent the cap.
