Excuse is he was trying to take a (slap) shot on net with the puck on the other side of the man. Most guys when they are trying to get that puck in that location use one hand and try to just get it directed on net. I'm not buying it.

 

Yeah I loved that part too. The sad part is he accomplished what he was trying to do, not take Letang out so much as get in the Pens heads. After that they were more focused on exacting revenge for the slash than taking care of business and winning the game. ovechkin will continue to do this until they ignore him, remember how he always goes harder against Malkin because he knows he can get in Geno's head and take him off his game
