After watching Sunday's debacle, an issue I have with the whole team is a lack of quick decision making. Ben has never been quick, except for his early game streak at the beginning of last season. Our running backs always seem to stutter step, or spin, and sure there may not be a hole to run through, but decide what you are going to do. Our special teams never seem to know what to do - "do I come out of the endzone, or take a knee?", "do I fair catch it on the 5 yard line, or let it bounce?" Troy does not always make the right decision, but at least he decides, commits, and plays with intensity.

One thing that makes an athlete indecisive is fear of making a mistake and lack of confidence. Maybe it is lack of confidence in the game plan, lack of confidence in team mates, or fear of being benched. But that mental attitude is something the coaches need to fix.

I am not sure the talent level of this team is good enough to win too many games, but at least they could play with some confidence and abandon. They often looked a little scared.

I think we're really starting to see this with Ben. To me, he's looking a little gun-shy. Instead of keeping his eyes down the field like he once did and making plays, he seems to be getting pre-occupied with the rush. Who wouldn't behind that offensive line?

Ben doesnt look comfortable back there. im sure he knows hes gonna get hit on just about every pass play. you can put a lot of the sacks hes taken over his career on him, but hes been able to avoid a lot of sacks also with his mobility. 10 years into the league and countless hits taken has had a toll and im sure hes starting to feel the toll they have taken on his body.

every pass play is like pulling teeth for this team. very few times can Ben drop back scan the field and actually have time to go through his reads. if his first option isnt open right away the play becomes a broken play and turns into a school yard play. Ben then gets blamed for this which is probably unfair.

right now the way this team is made up and the way the o-line is, Ben is not the right qb for this team. this pains me to say because to me he is one of the best qbs in the league, but until they figure out the oline hes a sitting duck. that plus he has no real go to wr that he can count on to go up and get the ball makes it tough for him to just get rid of the ball quickly with confidence his wr will make the catch.
