I know its fantasy football and all, but I was pretty surprised by Ben's ranking. This is from pro football focus. Lower than Winston and Mariota?? With all our weapons too. Not mad or anything since its just FF rankings, but I was surprised. I think the offense is going to be pretty potent. MB brings that added element imo.

Useless list when they have Newton and Luck ahead of Ben, both of them coming off shoulder surgery.

From a winning point view, as well as a fantasy take, Ben needs to play better on the road.

Well, it is fantasy. Ben wasn't in the top 10 in QB rating, last year. He wasn't in the top 10 in passing yds. He gives you no rushing yds or TDs. Hes stunk on the road the last 2-3 seasons, And it's probably even money that he misses 4 games or more this yr. So, they ain't gonna rank him in the top 5 for amassing fantasy points.

If you think he's so under rated, draft him early for your team.

I think Ben is a good mid-round fantasy QB, which also strongly depends on the league scoring setup. Take a 2 year average, in my league he finished 6th in 16, and 17th in 15...... anything +/- 10 is about right for him. He's not going to toss 40-50 TD's EVER in a season.

This will be a 40+ season. Beyond that, I expect him to not have to do a lot of throwing in the 4th quarter. It'll be the Bell / Connor show.
Nonetheless, during home games you can pencil Ben in for 2-3 touchdowns. He does have a streak going.

I'm drafting him if I can. His points numbers were down last few seasons because he missed games. At least, that's my take. I did not research to the matter. But given this information, I think he will be available in later rounds, so I can stock up on WRs and RBs first.

Steelers winning pct goes way up when Ben throw's 40 or less pass's.

I will take the W anytime over fantasy stats.

As an avid fantasy player, I view Big Ben as a top 5 QB at home, and a guy who Is a QB2 on the road. If you look at our schedule, a fantasy owner with BB will have him at home for 5 or 6 regular season home games (depending on when the league's playoffs start). He'll be at home week 14 vs Balt, and week 15 vs NE, which would be either the last week of the regular season and 1st week of the playoffs, or weeks 1 and 2 of the playoffs. However, week 16 he will be on the road in Houston, and week 16 is championship week for fantasy football.

So, he may be able help get you there, but you'll definitely want to bench him for your fantasy championship game.

I would personally only have BB as my QBif I had a viable #2 who could start several games.
