They could have done this over the last 2 years then but haven’t.

They have had the last 2 years or more to fix it. I never panic over sports.

Happened to turn on PTI today, and they were speculating about Rodgers landing in the Burgh. Apparently he is effusive in his praise of Tomlin. Like many here I am not a fan of A A Ron mostly because I think he's just not a good guy. I mean, what do you have to do for your immediate family to basically want nothing to do with you even though you are rich and famous? Have to admit though that if he were to put on a Steelers jersey I would probably do a 180 so fast it would make your head spin.

He got me the Rodgers Rate with State Farm, so I’m all in.

Yup, and that should have been the plan this year. Now we'll suffer through two wasted years instead of one.

Damn you are right. Don't know how I forgot that since I took a lot of crap. What I remember is Eagle fans coming up to me after we won SB and reminding me of that game.

Don't kid yourself about wasted years. The rebuild is happening now while you cry.

With the Fins in the running to trade for Watson, Tua might be on the market soon. Same with Zach Wilson the way the Jets are playing

Giants will be moving on from Jones too I expect. He is talented but error prone, could work with the right setup around him however

Mariota, Trubisky and Brissett all free agents next offseason too

Plenty of stop gap QB’s out there

Mason. Can he play 17 games?

Trubisky is intriguing. Having seen how Fields is performing under Nagy, maybe the fault lies with the coach and not the QB. Mariota and Brissett don’t offer much more than what Rudolph offers

I would be fearful of going in to a season with Mason as the #1 unless the OLine improves dramatically

Guys like Trubisky and Jones can at least take off running when the pocket collapses

Our QB next year will be Ben. 3/4 of the board will be talking about how another offseason of rest will make him better than he was before and how the last two years were a fluke cause he just needed time to heal to come back better than he ever was at 40.

If he moves in with Tom Brady, but I doubt AB shares the bed.

I would go for Mariota. If nothing else he can take off and run if the play breaks down. I remember the Titans playoff game against the Chiefs a few years ago, Mariota rallied the Titans to a big upset win. I think he would be a good fit for Matt Canada's offense.

Yes opposing DC’s would have to account for him taking off on a given play

He can be inconsistent as a passer though

The tea leaves being that the Steelers are one of few if any team that drafts Maryland players.
