36 PPG on defense for a 10 years span in the playoffs is just historicaly bad!

Not just their fault but still just awful

    I gotta disagree.
How is winning a SB a team sport , but winning a MVP not. Do these so called MVPs throw to themselves block for themselves, catch for themselves, call their own plays, run for themselves, and then go out, and play defense by themselves???
I could have sworn the whole team was playing with them , but what do I know???

Unless they are "hail mary", 4th down, or WR dropped INT's, then they are all horrible INT's. I don't have any data to check that (I am sure it would be near impossible to find), but I don't necessarily agree that the INT's thrown earlier in his career in the postseason were "better INT's" than the ones thrown later in his career. That seems to be too arbitrary and opinion based than off factual evidence.

Now, I can agree that his array of weapons was better in the Killer B's game vs. Jacksonville (and ironically it was the only time the B's were all healthy at the same time in the post season). I truly believe that the 2015 season (2016 playoffs) was probably our best shot if fully healthy, but both AB and Bell missed the game vs. the Broncos (and Ben was banged up, having left the game briefly in the wild card round). We'd still have to go through New England, but I think that was our best shot at getting it done. However, I don't mean to say that Ben is blameless when pointing out the defense. The bar of how he had to play to win was just much higher than it was early in his career. He played well enough to win if our defense was middle of the road, but our defense was BAD in the post season post 2011 and Ben wasn't good enough to overcome that.

Ben wasn't without flaws, and yes, had he played better we might've beaten the Packers (we probably still beat them if Mendenhall doesn't fumble). But my premise was that Ben wasn't WORSE post 2011 in the postseason than he was before. The PERCEPTION was that he was (maybe because of how good he was during that span, or other biased reasons). I still believe his postseason performances post 2011 were as good as or better than the ones before, he just had to be better than he was in order to win - entirely due to the fact that our defense was garbage compared to the pre-2011 defenses.

Because MVP takes mostly personal statistics, while winning a football game takes all the players? Josh Allen didn't have the best weapons in the league. They were fine... but he put up big numbers all the same. He also wasn't on the best team in the league either. His team was good. They weren't even THAT good, since they only went 3-3 against teams with winning records, they just piled up wins against bad teams. MVP is a VASTLY more individually centric award than team centric one. Winning a SB relies on the entire team. A single player can help a great amount, but its a lot more than that.

There is a very small team aspect to winning an MVP, but the supporting cast playing well has a lot to do with having an MVP caliber QB just as much (if not more so) as the supporting cast props up the MVP QB. A SB has a very small individual aspect to winning it all, but is VASTLY more team centric. It doesn't matter how well the QB plays if the defense is worse (or vice versa). SB is a team award, MVP is an individual one.

LJ had a good supporting cast during his MVP seasons. He doesn't win those without a good O line, skill players, Justin Tucker and defense to get the ball back in his hands. Ravens have drafted better than the Steelers since 2013 and it shows.

Cassidy Wood is the perfect girl. Cute, smart and when she was asked what historical figure that she admired the most she said Chuck Noll. You gotta love a girl like that.

I personally think they are all team awards. If not , How did Lamar Jackson win a MVP the last time , and yet 5 Qbs had as many, or more overall yards, and 5 Qbs had as many , or more overall tds.....??
People say he won it anyway because of their record, well isn't their record because of the team, otherwise those other Qbs would have had a similar record??. Let's look at Burrow last year He had the most passing TDs, and most yards, but He didn't win MVP because of the rest of His team. So if You don't win a MVP even though You Yourself are great, but Your team sucks, then how is it an individual award????

I can drink a beer and do that

Actually when I’m at the games I will use my binoculars and zero in on individuals other than the QB usually OL
