He's 6'3 330lbs, on SNR Lolley and Williamson said they would draft JPJ at #20.

I wouldn't draft him at 20, but I would trade back and draft him 28-32. His stock has been rising, and he's been outstanding at Senior Bowl practices.

Pay no attention to a prospects draft stock. Players have risen or fallen with teams long before they’re drafted. The teams are the ones that have been scouting these players for years. The talking heads are just flapping their gums as usual.

Tomlin was seen spending time with him. He’s obviously going to be on their list. Another center that may be on their list is Taliese Fuaga, a massive 6-6 332 pounds.

If he tests like the madman I believe he will, book his ass for pick 20; something I wouldn't have a problem with. If not?! Have to trade up for him.

This all said, this is all premature at present. Should the Steelers bring the house at Oregons Pro Day, then and only then will that give us confirmation. Until then?! Gotta stay tuned.

Tomlin and company don't seem to attend many pro days on the West Coast.

They'd better make an exception; doubly so in Tomlins case. AR 2 made it abundantly clear; he isn't gonna put up with this ish any longer.

I haven't seen anyone projecting Fuaga to center, where did you catch that? All the reports I've read have him at RT primarily, possibly left.

My bad, I misread a report on the Senior Bowl. They were talking about Jackson Powers at center and then they brought up Fuaga but were just comparing size.

Keep an eye on WV Center Zach Frazier as well.

Powers-Johnson has been dominant at the Senior Bowl practices and he is only 20 years old. He is just going to get stronger as gets older, it's a position of need and I hope the Steelers snag him at #20.

I won't flinch if we took him. But I'll take Guyton over him.

For the first time in a while, I kinda don't know the full direction this staff is going to go in the draft. I wanna see who they round out the staff and who they pick up in FA before I start doing mocks. I just wouldn't be surprise if they flip Moore and Jones, then draft a C and just go from there from an array of positions. I personally would go C before RT anyways... But if you got your C and LT set up for the next 10+ years, my focus would shift to the interior OL for a more long term plan, perhaps not this season but the following ones, especially if they bring back Munchak for a couple of years.

Seumalu is 30 and Herbig is our backup OG. Not sure the plan with Spencer Anderson but probably IOL. We NEED a Center. It would not surprise me if we drafted another OG as well.

FYI. Ramon Foster is saying JPJ was injured at the senior bowl. He was walked off the field. Ramon said he doesn't know how bad the injury was, but it could be his MCL.

Some mocks have Miami taking him at 21 if he is there

If you want him take him while you can

I believe he will be gone before the Steelers draft. But if he were there I would grab him

Every pick pushes someone down to the Steelers. I have CB, T, and C as our biggest need. If JPJ goes at 17, it pushes a CB or T down to the Steelers, and we can go Frazier of Van Pram in the second. A right tackle/slot corner in the third round is doable.

I still have seen nothing as to why Van Pran pulled out of attending the senior bowl at the last minute.

Be weird if Van Pran goes and competes at the NFL combine, while JPJ decides not to compete at the combine because he injured himself at the senior bowl.

Van Pran has the higher floor, while JPJ has the higher ceiling. Because of his experience Van Pran is a week 1 starter and JPJ is going to need to be eased into the lineup. If the Steelers go with JPJ, it means that Mason Cole will need to stick around for another year.

Had to go look this up, since the way JPJ has been flying up the charts I didn't believe it at first.
Van Pran has started every game at center the last three years (45 starts). JPJ barely played as a freshman, only had 46 snaps at center as a soph, and played every game at center this year (13). While I love the idea of JPJ as a Steeler, Van Pran or Zach Frazier (38 career starts at center) in the second wouldn't be a bad thing if value at T or CB is there in the first.
Notes about Frazier, who "the Steelers really love"- 4 time state wrestling champion. Academic All Big 12 team 4x. In 4 years, starting every game, he's allowed 5 sacks, none this year. We should be taking about him more.
