Per MaxBroncos, the Broncos will be giving away their own "terrible towels" on Sunday. Each fan will receive an orange towel as they enter thru the gates. At the 2005 AFC Championship game, the Broncos gave out orange pom poms but the Steeler fans yellow terrible towels were still quite visible. This time the Broncos hope to block out the Steelers yellow towels with their own orange ones.

They will need them to soak up all their tears.

Heck, I consider that a badge of honor. Stadiums always do some such thing when the Steelers come to town. I like the souvenirs myself so I can track all the stadiums I've been to where the Steelers have a win (unfortunately, that doesn't include Seattle or San Francisco yet as they are 0-5 in their last 5 attempts).

Bring on those Orange towels!!!!!! Nothing beats the original!!!!

A lot of teams use towels, especially in the playoffs.

I'd feel too disingenuous to wave a towel like that if I were another team's fan. Maybe they should hand out giant carrot sticks or sugar cubes on a string.

    :lolol: :applaud:

This has been one of my biggest pet peeves for a long time now!
Ever since other teams started copying it!!!!
    Or the chant...
I actually smacked a Clowns fan in the back of his head at a bar once, for yelling "Here we go Brownies... Here we go!"
(He was a friend of mine, but still...)
    It`s just WRONG!!!!!
I know that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...
But can`t Yinz come up with your OWN traditions?!?!?!?
    These are OURS!!!!
    HANDS OFF!!!
    Ya feel me, Myronwemissyinz?!?!
I think it was Tennesee, that first started ripping off the towel, and then I saw a differnt version, in almost every other teams` stadiums.
    Makes me want to puke!
Whatever... Ours is the ONLY true, original TERRIBLE TOWEL...
And we will wave it proudly, in every stadium we take over!!!

I TOTALLY AGREE W/ BLEEDSTEEL!!!! I have just always felt it was unbecoming. I have watched us at a few different stadiums and they do it too. Last year at the MNF game in Cincy my dad (a cowboys fan...blah...) actually tried to get me to take one and I was like "NOOOO!!!!" I actually was offended when Lendale White stomped the towel in 08. Actually, Jeff Fisher called him into his office for a history lesson later that week. It is just a great tradition and it belongs to us!

They used to give ones at Bengals games. Not sure if they keep doing it.
Anyway, I bet there will be more Terrible Towels than Broncos' towels during the game.

When i went to the colts/steelers game in week3, they handed out white towels. I wiped my ass with it. BTW, i havent found another teams towel and heavy duty as the Terrible Towel. The colts was a thin and half the size. Both my Terrible Towels are thick.

I told my five-year old that the Broncos were handing out orange towels at the game on Sunday. His response... "Why would I want one of THOSE?"

I pitty the poor bastard who has to dye all of those Bounty towels orange. I wonder if he can dunk the whole roll in dye or if he has to rip them off one at a time :hehehe:
