Agree. Reserved seating with Power recliners, and being able to show up 5 minutes before the movie starts and still get the best seats in the house is the way to go the movies.

Last Imax movie was the new Top Gun, and it was worth going to the theater for.

The whole need to see a movie in a movie theater thing has lost its appeal for me, as I am pretty well setup at home to get the whole movie experience. The ability to hit the "Pause" button is priceless for me in most movies.+

Also, those midweek early Matinee prices are crazy. I took my nephew to see Raiders on a Tuesday around noon and paid $6.00. The theater was full with a whole bunch of seniors enjoying the movie with the discounted rate. I Still can't remember the last time a movie was so cheap.

I saw Christopher Nolans war movie Dunkirk at the Dolby theater, which is pretty much the same thing as IMAX. Super intense!

I found it to be remarkable!!!

You may have felt that way if you were high as hell watching it in the dolby theater. After the movie was over, I was all looking around wondering why I wasnt on the beach?

I saw it at home, but I do have quite a big screen, and 6 speaker surround. Sound is always important to Me. I had a buddy over watching a football game once , and He kept turning around. I asked what is wrong, and He said I keep thinking I'm hear people hollering behind Me. LoL :lolol:

I am not a movie going guy and watch 99% on TV. Not only is the "Pause" button a nice advantage but being able to watch an hour now and then when I feel like it watch the rest. Comcast is my biggest bill at this point of my life but I do love having it.

1982 Devon theater in Philly, 99 cents all day everyday. 6.00 is amazing in 2023!!

Finally saw this on Demand at home and I am so glad I did not see this in a theater. Ended up being more like a miniseries to me as it took me about 3 sittings/days to get to the end of the movie.

Also, I was so disappointed in the end as there were no "What happened to these people" credits at the end. Generally, with these real-life movies you get a summation at the end to explain where all the characters went on with their lives.

The movie got 13 Oscar Nominations. I agree I should have saw in a theatre. Was good but I watch on a 48 inch screen.

That was good. In hindsight the Germans should have bombed the hell out of them instead of scraping the area once in awhile. Glad they survived for sure but always shocked the Germans didn't unleash on them when they were sitting ducks.

Hitler actually had a respect for the British and that was a huge mistake for them. The Germans like the Japanese had no chance whatsoever, none, zero, zippo. The greatest example of this is Webster yelling at the Germans on the Autobahn in Band of Brothers, "You have horses what were you thinking!!!" as they rolled down the autobahn in trucks of every type. Unfortunately we have no chance of ever duplicating that production miracle again. It doesn't exist in America, it's all in China from shipyards to factories.

They assisted in space flights. One of our biggest going to the moon scientists was the same scientists who designed the rockets to launch on England.

Yes, that's how we went to the Moon. Von Braun the father of the U2, became the father of our rocket program and the Saturn V.

Oppie won best picture and other awards at The Oscars. Means I'll have longer wait for it to come to TV:(

Wife had it on and when the nominees for best supporting actress were announced I looked over at her and guaranteed her I knew who would win. When she did win wife asked if I had seen the movie. I never heard of the damn movie but it's 2024 so wake up America;)
