I see a lot of the OC needs to be fired. I have said it myself a lot. So with what the Steelers are paying Ben what if Ben told the O line he is taking over the calls, and does it. What do you think would happen???

Ben has already been taking over the calls since Todd Haley left.

Funny story. I had a similar situation in a high school game. We were getting killed. Our OC was terrible. So our center called the plays for a whole series. The coaches would send in plays, and our center would say, "No", and then call what he wanted in the huddle. It was hilarious. We went 3 and out that drive, and our HC broke his headset, after slamming it off the ground.

Moral of the story is, sometimes it doesn't matter who is calling the plays. Sometimes, you just suck.

I'll tell you exactly what would happen.

After puking on the field, Ben would become the star of the league and make a music video. Then after his ego got the best of him, his wife would leave him and his teammate would cut his car in half. Eventually he'd find himself benched for an old QB who used to be a star. After taking back the starting job, he would fall just short of winning it all. In the end, his coach that hated him would sign him to be the starting QB for an expansion team.

Ben only calls the plays in the no huddle offense, and he can audible out of certain calls.

Ben does anything he wants with this current offense anytime he wants to do it. Fitchner has very little control over which plays are called. Todd Haley, while certainly a jagoff at times, ran a much better hands on offense.

Any quarterback can call an audible. But you still have to do it with who you have on the field.

Can’t see a Todd Haley reference without wanting to call him Todd “the Tequila Cowboy” Haley.

I was a classmate of Todd Haley in Upper St. Clair from 6th grade thru 12th. Never heard of "the Tequila Cowboy".
