I have a comment about having your team PREPARED: Being unprepared seems to be a re occurrence over a period of several years now. Unprepared and Noncompetitive is not acceptable. It is one thing to be competitive and lose a close game... but, having a noncompetitive showing is an embarrassment.
Also, the social media issues with the players need to be kicked in the butt now....any player who throws shade to another player and who complains about his current situation on the team needs to be benched. Those are things that should NOT be talked about on social media... those things should be all addressed internally and directly with the head coach. ... and the head coach needs to enforce that...that is the way to kick the bs and drama in the butt.

You say "Being unprepared seems to be a re-occurrence over a period of several years now." Actually Steelers came out of the gate 11-0 3 years ago, beat Buffalo on the road in the opener 2 years ago and last year beat Cincy on the road in the opener. Granted there were many major failures each of the last 3 seasons but they did seem to be ready for the openers. Remember KC, Cincy and Buffalo all started "unprepared" this season as well. Let's see how it plays out. Regarding social media - unfortunately this is the new world order - like it or not. I don't but my kind won't be around to see how that plays out either.

I'm pretty sure every team has laid an egg at least once during a season. I guess we have to wait and see if we keep laying eggs.

When technology started taking hold I use to always say, "technology gonna end the human race" joking around. Now I wonder?

It's not how you start but how you finish and/or improve. Of course, that's only if we get into post season though. JMO>

Judging by training camp and pre-season I never thought I'd see the dud laid this past Sunday.

Wasn't surprised to see the 49ers beat us, because they are really good, but Steelers were woefully off.

But you have to realize that 49ers team is an absolute Super Bowl contender, we are a contender to maybe make the playoffs as 5-7 seed at best.

Problem is media blasted us a dark horse Super Bowl contender and we aren't, and most of us believed the hype.

Still think the Steelers bounce back, but a losing Cam for 2 months, and DJ for a month, isn't a help to the cause.

For me what was most disappointing was how KFP played, he sucked and not sure why. I actually buy into perhaps his head was woozy but we will see on Monday if that was true or if he is panicky in pocked. The 2nd biggest disappointment was lack of creativity in the passing routes, missed passes yes but too many routes going to the same depth and receivers just blanketed. I guess that wont go until Canada is gone. I actually give the D sort of pass due to the TOP disparity with them on the field essentially what felt like the whole game, however they have to get back to stopping the run and getting pressure consistently on the QB. If you don't in this league you are toast.

I was watching the VIkings Eagles game and thought the Vikes didn't look too much better than the Steelers in their execution. Then again, the Eagles looked pretty bad until they started to run the ball.

I feel it's going to be a bit of a topsy-turvy season all around.
