Only six 1pm games all year

I love my 1pm games...and we only have 6 out of 16.

I like the 1:00 games the least. I prefer the prime time games over anything.

 

The 1pm games seem like the Steelers do better than about any other time....Think it fits into their normal rhythm

I like 1pm games better too because I have to leave for Sunday night church at about 5:45 and have to come back and watch it on dvr. So I would much rather the games be at 1. I've been thinking it didn't seem like we had many this year but I didn't know the exact number. But atleast we get some primetime games though.

I really prefer 1pm games now...every time there is a 4pm game...I miss the entire first Q due to Network rules.

Yeah, I thought we might benefit from them pushing the "4 oclock" start times, back to 4:25...
BUT....
They just switch to any other current game, in progress, until it`s over, even if the game they were carrying, is over in time to show the Steelers game.
If it wasn`t for Towel being so generous, and showing me a place where I can watch the games online, I would have missed half of the first qtr, of the Jets game, and almost ALL of the 1st qtr against the Raiders... What a crock!!!
1 O`clock, just works much better for me, and it is what I had become used to.
I don`t even really like the primetime games, just because of the wait for them to start, and the late time when they are over.
Used to be a time, that it was cool for my team to show off how good they were, to a nationwide audience.. now??? Not so much

When I was a kid, it seemed that 90% of all Steeler games were played at 1pm with the others played under the watchful eye and oratorical artistry of Howard Cosell on Monday Night Football. Those were the days. I hated those 4pm games because at my house we went to church on Sunday night. I'd watch until halftime and then would have to call my uncle, who didn't attend church, after church to find out if the Steelers had won - lol. This was in the pre-Internet, pre-ESPN days so sports news was much harder to come by then. I still hate the 4pm games because I think there are more important things in life than the Steelers and still attend church on Sunday night.

 

I prefer the 4 o'clock over 1 o'clock,,and the night games are the best for me..For a while the Steelers thrived in prime time..I think under Cowher they were 13-4 or something close to that on Monday nights,and i think they still do decent in prime time
Plus with 4 kids its really tough to settle in and have a few Guinness and really enjoy it

 

I also prefer 1 PM starting times, I live in EST though.

 

I'll tell you something cool though. The first church I pastored when I went there to preach for the first time my wife was talking to a lady in the back and they were joking hoping that I might not preach to long and my wife said "Oh you don't have to worry about that! The Steelers are playing so we'll be out of here in no time!" The woman said "Oh great! I LOVE the Steelers and have since 1972! I even have a Terrible Towel!" I gave her a little shoutout from the pulpit and for the whole time I pastored that church she held a special place in my heart and still does.

 

I like 1pm games as well. But the Steelers are a huge TV draw, hence the 4pm games and Primetime games.

 

I prefer 1:00 so I am not pacing around all day waiting for the game to start...I can deal with 4:00 games but I REALLY dont like the late games! Trying to stay awake until midnight and then getting up for work the next day is really difficult for me!
