JEH is 100 years old he doesn’t need a clown running around sticking up for him.

I think you can look at the Steelers record with head coaches and much easier to come to the conclusion that they don’t like to let go of their head coaches easily. Three coaches and what 55 years? But for you, it’s much easier to try and find some conspiracy riddled nonsense to go on about. Unless you got a smoking gun shut the **** up.

Because the Steelers are loyal to a fault. People tend to forget Noll was at the helm for a lot of painful seasons in the 80’s.

Did he ever have a playoff drought like this? I was a kid in the 80s so I’m not honestly sure.

I like how you go on and post half dozen times with the nonsense then you decide to respect Ray.

Chuck Noel should’ve been let go at least five years before he was.
Bill cower probably should’ve stayed on a few more years. Mike Tomlin should’ve been gone at least five years ago.

I’m not antagonizing you. You’re making ridiculous statements on a message board. I’m responding. You got no proof just crockpot, conspiracy theories.

This exactly. It’s utter nonsense. Was the Rooney rule why they stood by Noll and Cowher for so long???

Apply some critical thinking skills people.

I had to look it up, but did some quick math -

    Noll from 1980 to 1991 (12 seasons):

    93-91 Overall Record
Made the playoffs in 4 of the 12 seasons
    2-4 Playoff Record

Edit - during those 12 years, we only had one season of 10 more wins (10-6 in 1983).

I may be wrong I don’t have any proof just speculation. Noll and Cowher were much better coaches than the moron we have now.

Please see my earlier post in this thread. Noll had 2 playoff wins in 12 years. So the answer to your question is yes, similar situations.

And he was let go. But why is this not even an option with MT? Noll won 4 SBs!!

Now you are changing the goal posts because the facts don’t support your point about Noll and Cowher.

The original argument was why Tomlin is still here. The answer to that question is loyalty.

I imagine Tomlin’s seat will be getting warmer, especially after how we ended this season.

Im not changing any goal posts. You said Noll had 2 in 12 which is horrible and he was let go. MT has 3 in 14 so why the extra years? I’m responding to the stats you provided which I appreciate you looking up.

Simple. He wins games and has them in position every year. Not good enough for me, but obviously good enough for ownership. Noll pretty much stunk for ten years.
