Only 10 Steelers on the field! Wtf?

Thought I caught this as it happened yesterday. Even mentioned it in the game day thread. Decided to go back and check. Sure enough someone screwed up royally. Can’t tell who it is, but you can see him at top of the screen. He has just run off the field leaving only 10 defenders. The ensuing play resulted in a run of 4 by Jones. Rogers followed it up with a run for a td.

 

whats even scarier is that literally they had plenty to cover the 11 Packers out there. If Watt and Highsmith blitz Edmunds should have the back on a wheel route with Schobert having the inside zone to help. Sutton has Adams and Bush has the TE in the bunch. Fitz is playing safety and literally can jump in to help anyone over the middle. If they had the 11th man presumably they could drop TJ or Alex into coverage too.

 

The 11th Steelers player on the sideline, did he run off the field or was he runing onto the field?

 

It must be Matt Canada's Offensive scheme that caused this.

 

off the field. He is clearly running off the field when you watch it. It’s hard to catch because of the camera shot changes, but he 100% running off the field.

 

Is this an illegal formation? Or is the TE on the end of the line far enough back to be considered uncovered? The top man in the bunch clearly is on the line but hard to tell who is beside the LT and if they are on the line.

 

I am guessing its Norwood, possibly Maulet.
