I have not seen any Denver preseason games. Is Bo Nix ready for steeler defense?
Can we get our offense moving?

Defense should be able to contain the Broncos but with our offense games will be tight.

Nix was just brutal yesterday....But historically, the steelers have been bad in Denver, like 6-16 all-time

Russell was the emergency QB, if it was that bad he would not have been suited up. My guess is he really wants this game. Put ego aside, he’s gotta be ready. Tomlin could make it a game day decision. Or, he’ll announce RW as starter on Tuesday.

I helps nobody on the Steelers to answer it before He must. Let Denver work at getting ready for two Qbs.

Just beware of those Rocky Mountain Nuggets - I'd stick with the Denver Omelette!

Yes. My son, my wife and I go to an away game every season. We picked at Denver long before the schedule came out. Really glad it is second week of September with the weather in the mid 80’s. The wife doesn’t go to games with us anymore cause she likes to do outdoor hiking and sightseeing while we are at the games. I kind of wish she went to the games with us (outside of the expense) cause we are undefeated when she attends. I think 5-0.

This would be a horrible loss if we went out to Denver and lost the game. They are a bad team with a rookie QB who was awful last week. This isn't like last year when we lost to rookie CJ Stroud who was great right from the get go. By the way Bo Nix played so many years in college that he has career wins against Justin Herbert and Tua who have been in the NFL for half of a decade.

You'd think I learned my lesson but I'm very confident we win this game. Of course Rich Eisen was impressed with Bo Nix despite the numbers. I say no way Bo Nix is beating this Steeler defense. Ain't happening.

This Steelers offence could lose to anybody. The margin for error is just so low when you can’t score touchdowns

I wouldn’t be taking anything for granted against Denver

The steelers should run the ball a lot in this game and they could have success against this broncos run defense.....They were terrible in week 1 vs Seattle and Walker, terrible last season

But of course the steelers have been bad in Denver all-time,so can't take any game as granted but I hope a very good game for the entire offense

I would rather see Fields start the game than Wilson. With a whole week to prepare and game plan, the playbook should be opened and fields be able to use all weapons. I know the Steeler defense will bring their A game along with Boz, punter and WRs worry me. We need TDs in this game.

Not exactly a confidence builder last week for Bo Nix. I like our chances given how well defense played last week.

    Denver's Week 1 stats

Loss, 20 to 26 vs Seahawks

    Offense:

    QB, 26/42, 138 yards, 2 int, 2 sacks, 5 carries for 35 yards, 1 rush TD, 47.5 Rating

3 rushers (not incl QB), 20 rushes for 64 yards (steelers had 4)

7 receivers, 26 receptions for 138 yards (steelers had 8)

Kick return, 3 for 69 yards

Punt, 8 at an average of 48.6 yards (steelers had 2 for 51.5 avg, plus a 3rd by MVP Boswell)

Punt returns, 5 with an average of 9.4 yards (steelers had 4 for 11.8)

    Defense:

39 tackles from 14 players, 8 and 6 for Moss and Singleton (steelers had 32 from 15 players, Fitz was top at 6)

Too put things in a bit of perspective given team strengths:

After Week 1, the Seahawks are the #15 rated offense, the Broncos are #28. The Steelers are #22 and the Falcons are #20.
After Week 1, the Seahawks are the #21 rated defense, the Broncos are #24. The Steelers are #4 and the Falcons are #23.

So, For the Broncos it was #28 offense vs #21 defense. And the #24 defense vs #15 offense.
With the Steelers vs Falcons, it was the #22 Steelers offense vs the #23 defense. And the #4 defense vs #20 offense.

Just looking at the numbers from the 2 games, my takeaway is that the Steelers will have a better Defense vs Offense advantage than we had vs the Falcons. Offensively, things will be similar to what we faced with the Falcons.

Of note, when looking at the numbers it also looks like our defense was more involved as a whole while the Broncos seemed to gain a big chunk from just 2 players. Lots of ways to interpret that.

Lots of numbers. I was bored.

Maybe this is the week that Fields will not fumble a snap under the center for once...Maybe I am too optismistic on that too?!
