    Hello *ducks... I'm not a troll :)

I posted a hello in the Welcome/Intro forum. I used to be SadFanInRI on the old board and have lurked here since this forum was started but never posted. Reason is on my other post. Hoping to pop in and say hello here and there.

As an "old" fan of 52 years (from birth), I was really shocked they won the game against the Bills. I'm sure they were not surprised, but when they don't seem to have that "magic" they can be very "off" and not able to mount a comeback and have the D hold like they did.

Who expected Sutton to step up when they were clearly not afraid of him before the game started? Not me. What an improvement.

I'm impressed the Steelers made adjustments in the off season and at halftime to not just fade into the sunset as Ben does a victory lap that hopefully ends with a Super Bowl win.

It's only 1 game but they don't always come out swinging. I had them at 3-4 after 7 games with a strong finish. That's what I've seen in the past many times. The game Sunday looked like a confident, something to prove bunch. I hope it continues.

Peace from a not so sad fan in RI these days.

    Scott

Sutton is another Mike Hilton. As long as he's mainly playing Nickel, he'll shine. Put him outside too much and his weaknesses get exposed

I was glad to see Canada made halftime adjustments. Strange to say when you're talking about a professional offensive coordinator, but after years of Fichtner's complete ineptness, it was a breath of fresh air.

I don't know much about the New England states but I'm guessing that most NFL fans up that way are fans of the New England Patriots. The Brady years had to be an NFL hell for Steeler fans up that way.

I try not to read to much into winning the first game. The Pittsburgh Pirates won their first game of season.;)

"Old Fan at 52"? Son, that's not old (only in the eyes of AARP). Just ask JEH. He was the one who first showed me fire right after we walked across the Bering Sea ice bridge. :lolol:

That was the first thought I had when reading title. I think he means he's been on board for long time.

Funny thing is that many of them were fans of other teams, but jumped on the Pats’ bandwagon. I am seeing (former?) Pats fans walking around in Brady Tampa jerseys now.

Remarkably, I understand that the city of Cleveland looked much the same back then.

Well congrats on the big promotion Clive - "Site Admin"?? Did TTF get recalled instead of Newsom? I didn't even see your name on the ballot. Just remember though - it's lonely at the top. And finally in honor of Happy Gilmore: "You can do it!!" :thumbs up::drinks::dancing:

He played primarily outside vs. Buffalo? Sutton is a good cover guy that had to be taught how to play in the box. Hilton is a fantastic player in the box, but would struggle if he was asked to primarily cover. They have very different talents. They put Norwood out there to keep Sutton outside (and to help move Fitzpatrick around the defense). I imagine Sutton will be playing outside corner for us for a while if he continues to play the way he did against Buffalo.

Very difficult in some ways but in others, it was great. I no longer hate opponents of the Steelers . . . I only hope they lose to the Steelers on game day. :)

Plenty of bandwagon fans everywhere . . . and there are plenty here.

I would think a Pats fan wearing a Brady jersey tells me at least in part, they wish the team stepped up to keep Tom a "forever Pat" instead of moving on. Tough call on that since you do have to move on eventually.

It's interesting that the Steelers have done the opposite with Ben.
