It was Cowher who hired LeBeau and Capers (in the 1990s in his case)

So what? Cowher wasn't calling the defense on gameday .

But he was aware of the importance of having a very good coaching staff around him, which is very important for a head coach. He had a coaching tree where the others team was interested in hiring them for different job

First Kenny's microscopic hands, now Troy's behemoth arms. What's next? (Nevermind). :lolol:

Yeah, he had that great coaching staff, yet he only managed to win one Super Bowl .

I don't think you know that only 1 team can win the super bowl per year....and Cowher still make the AFC title game so many time

It's funny you make all the excuses in the world for Cowher, but blame Tomlin for everything .

We took a big risk and won.

I really did not think Frazier was going to be there

This is a great first interview. When drafting, the quality of the person is as important as the film. There a lot to like with this guy. BTW, at the very end he is asked about playing the right side and said no problem. They often switched sides in practice at Washington and he’s fine on the right.

Height has nothing to do with arm length, hand size, or feet size. It's just seems to be how it's averaged. My arm length, feet ,and hands are the same as My brother....I'm 5foot 10....he's 6 foot 4. Well maybe it does, and I'm a freak, and that's why they said I walk like an ape.

Just watched Troy's interview with Missy Matthews. When you hear him, see how humble and yet passion he has for the Steelers it makes me want to root for the kid more. Talked about Troy, the OL of the early 'tens', silverback, and excitedly meeting Ike Taylor in the locker room. This kid wants to be here, let's go!

The only valid criticism against Tomlin is that he has had a hall of fame QB and only managed one super bowl is correct I think. Otherwise they are both good coaches

Not by accident either. Lots of top Collegiate Football Programs are doing this. Left Tackle vs. Right Tackle ended in the NFL in the 2010s when DCs realized that they could move around their best pass rushers. However, the College Level of the game saw to that in the late to early 2010s; Von Miller being the spearhead of the initiative.

For that matter, Penei Sewell surpassed Laremy Tunsil as the highest paid Offensive Lineman, as a Right Tackle; $28 Million for Sewell vs. $25 Million for Tunsil. As far as I am concerned, manning your best five should always be the priority. Same logic should apply here for Fautanu.

Granted, Training Camp will be much more telling of course but I'd imagine that Broderick Jones and Troy Fautanu are the opening day starters as bookends. Dan Moore likely isn't on the team for much longer.

    Awesome value?!

    Try exceptional value. That simply doesn't happen all that often. Outside of age and size, what else is there to seriously critique?! Again, Troy has longer arms than the following;

The day people stopped getting wrapped up about mere size and just watch the tape on these OTs will be a day of celebration.

PFF grading us high scares me more than gives me that warm fuzzy feel. With that stated I really like our draft. The Michigan kid, Wilson intrigues me. I like him a lot for that slot need. I still remember him getting that TD while covered by our boy JPJ, whose coverage was white on ri BTW, nothing he could do. Does he have a little bit of that Hines Ward in him? That’d be great!

I would say that’s far from a valid criticism.
