I'm surprised there wasn't more love for the OL today. Colon did have a couple penalties...but I'm expecting that throughout this year with him learning a new position. He seems to have the tools to be good at it though. Besides that and that last drive (or next to last) the OL played pretty good today and kept Ben upright (even though Ben did his escaping some)...I think they at least deserve a little love in this one (even though the running game is kinda flat right now...I'm not putting all the blame on them).

It is nice to see ben staying upright for most the game. But I think a lot of the credit goes to Todd Haley for having routes that take less then 5 seconds to develop

No, the OL gets no love from me, they were awful again. Ben extended many plays, and we ran a ton of short routes so Ben could get rid of it quickly. We had no running game again, which is partly the fault of the RB's, but also the fault of the Oline.

They get love from me too. I always critics of this bunch but they played well. Running game needs work still but alot better in pass protection.

They were playing against the Raiders, possibly the worst franchise
    in the NFL.

Giants were dead last in rushing ypg last season ... although admittedly they still had 25 more yds/game :-(

no love for colon from me. i'd put his azz on the bench. he's so slow, it's like watching kemoeatu again. it's not just him either. hat's off to beachum, for coming off the bench to play pretty decent at a position he's not played before. pouncey played a good game. i don't see how anyone can praise colon so far. he had one good run block. pass protection was coach aided and this wasen't just for colon either. there's just no excuse to have a man rush past you, across your face, with barely getting a hand on him. or coming into the picture, when you are pulling, about the same time the ballcarrier is getting tackled. i was wrong about him being a good guard for us. he's way to slow to be playing LG. his only stregnth is one on one straight on with not much movement involved. much like the rest of the starters.

If it wasn't against the Raiders, I may be more willing to give up some love for the OL. However, if we are giving out love for OL vs. DL, then, yes, they should get the love.

Something needs to be determined here. Is it the players? the scheme? or the running backs? We just can't run the ball. Considering that....I thought our Oline was "okay". Not great, but okay. The turnovers, penalties, and poor special teams play hurt us yesterday. That and not being able to get 1....not 1...stop in the 2nd half. Poor showing.

I was asking myself that this morning. I'm leaning towards scheme but I don't know, maybe it's the players, maybe a combination of both. They have to figure it out and do it quick. I have no idea who we are right now, still to early to say for certainty but the D looks like crap right now. We're facing a number of QB's when we get back from the bye that can shred us to pieces, Vick, Dalton, RG lll, Eli, at this point even Locker may have a career day against us. We need to get pressure on the QB because we can't cover ****.
