I disagree completely, but would like you too be more specific and give examples of all theses brain farts at bad times. Then I can talk about the third down conversion at the end of the KC game. The fake spike towards the end of the Cowboys game. The game winning TD pass at the end of the Baltimore game. I guess there is not too many QB's in the league that even have close to his resume. But if he retires I can only imagine the amount of negativity the next QB will face from your threads. But please let us know about the brain farts please.

throwing iNT's at his own 20 , holding the ball for too long which gets him injured or backs us up, throwing the ball before the play even develops (the corners are ready for it before our receivers are), looking for receivers 30 yards away when he has Bell wide open 10 yards away, the list goes on he's sloppy.

That argument doesn't really hold water: if anybody can do it, why aren't there more "Bradys" in the league? Not to mention the reverse-criticism also coming into play: namely, "Ben's success with the deep ball earlier on was a by-product of Wallace outrunning everyone."

That's the thing we haven't seen him play a full season, he mostly plays with the bench during preseason , the guy hasn't had a full shot yet. ( probably still sucks but we don't know 100% until he gets a chance)

Please name 10 QBs that are better than Ben playing right now. If you can do that I will start to considering your argument.

Wait till a rookie QB comes in and throws pick after pick. Our record is 3-13 or 4-12. You and all of us will miss Ben big time. Ben's been a really good regular season QB and a decent playoff QB. He had a below average game Sunday cause a lot of his yards came when we were out of the game. We have to put a ton of it on the defense for the AFC Championship game. They couldn't stop anyone and didn't try to change it up. Ben I'm sure will be back next year. He's just upset with the way the season ended.

That question doesn't even make sense, there's more to it than 1 player, it's a team sport, not tennis or golf. You think Brady would be Brady if the stains drafted him and he played out his career there? Comes down to your front line ( which teams have a better O-line than the steelers?),, who has more weapons than Ben ? You're only as good as the players in front of you. The question should be, name off 10 teams with a better setup than what Ben has to play with? Put Ben on a weaker setup and his numbers would take a dive.

But your initial post made it sound like we would be better off with someone else. I was wondering who that someone else would be and about there availability for next year. So you do agree that the brain farts aren't all Ben's fault that the receivers may cause some problems. Just wondering why another guy would be better for our organization and who that guy would be.

Because maybe the guy that would "be better" has less like flatulence within his brain? I mean that's all I can think of. I will agree though that he would have to be pretty dang good to get Coates and Hamilton and DHB to start consistently catching balls that are right in their hands and right between their numbers. I think he might be looking for a Jedi as opposed to an actual quarterback.

not so much for next season since we know Ben will be back, but go look at the UFA in 2018, there's a lot of good names out there I would love to see Matt Stafford here, he has nothing going on in Detroit, they had their small run.

We need a Jedi to defeat Darth Hoodie.

If we're going to sign Brown to a multi-year deal, we MUST have a solid QB post-Ben. Otherwise, what's the point?

When Ben is gone so is the Steelers future until they find another HOF and those types don't come around often. It had taken something like 25 years to replace Bradshaw with another Super Bowl winning quarterback.

without looking at the stats cus I feel Ben has always had a better supporting cast. I say YES he's a better QB than Ben , he has the same tools as Ben but much smarter.

Stafford did have the best receiver in the game on his team for most of his career, but I do agree all in all Ben has had better teams around him. Only bad thing about Stafford is his ability to be clutch at the end of the game. Ben is typical fairly clutch at the end of games. Other than that It would be a very good argument to say which one is better. I'll take Ben. JMO.

I just read up a bit on Matt he had 8 comeback wins this season, he injured his middle finger the last month of the season so his production dropped off. There's talk Detroit will make him the highest paid QB in the league, so this dream of mine won't happen. Matt would tear it up with our weapons.

Sam Bradford is another one I would look at, the Vikings are junk.

Just realized both of their last names end with Ford and I'm a F150 guy, it's in the name make it happen!!!
