But seriously, I would certainly be talking to Drue Tranquill. Signing another old guy like Wagner or David is not what I want. Is Anthony Walker healthy?

 

This is turning into a little bit of a mess. I hope Omar has something up his sleeve.

 

I would assume he would get his 5 million guaranteed even if he only plays one year for them.

 

Hopefully one day I won’t be complaining because the Steelers are good. One day…..

TBH I loved the moves today. Larry O being back is huge. I thought he was very solid and we got him at a decent price and at a medium length, so can't complain. Probably keeps us from DL in round 1 and with our current CB/ILB situation we couldn't afford to go DL at 17 or 32 anyways.

Kazee is a solid signing. Decent enough player. Can be moved around the defense a bit and makes us not have to overpay for Edmunds. Could be a starter if we have to.

Don't mind losing Spillane. He was ok, but we can find just as good if not better. We are forced into using one of our early picks at this position at this point.

Sutton hurts bad, but its pretty clear we are getting a CB at 17 or 32 and Peterson is there to mentor. We are only in a bad situation if we completely whiff on our selection (possible, but I have some optimism that Weidl and Khan do better than Colbert did at this position). If losing him allows us to keep someone like Highsmith or sign someone else we'd like to keep around, I wont lose any sleep over it. It is what it is.

 

Weidl and Khan are responsible for this free agent signing mess. So let's hope they do better in the draft

 

If We nail the draft....no matter who We pick, and when....it will be all good.
I've never been a huge FA fan. I've seen too much not work....even good players going to good teams....because the fit just wasn't right. Give Me sold drafts baby.
