I love Tremaine Edmunds quite a bit. To say, however, he is a Top 3 Off Ball Linebacker in Football though is definitley not true. Top 10?! Yes. Top 5?! No way.

DuPree...He had a huge contact and severely underperformed/ was hurt...I don't think he's gonna command a big contract...

I would love to have him as OLB #3...

More would have been over paying, that’s why they didn’t beat it.

 

I'm not really surprised the Steelers aren't making a big splash.

Spending big on Free Agents never been a thing for them.

They seem to be players after the big splash's are done.

 

most guys take the money. not all but most. it is his ticket, he will never have to work again, if he is smart with his money. more times than not, when good player go to FA, they are GONE BABY GONE.....

 

Bears had Roquan Smith and traded him away, just to pay all that money to Edmunds.

Who do you guys thinks better Roquan or Edmunds?

Sign pierre, sign kazee, they may keep Witherspoon this year, they have wallace, maulet and a couple of younger guys here, draft possibly two. Our young up and coming secondary coach was with a lot of these draft picks up close during the senior bowl practices, so he got some up close and personal time with a few of these guys.

 

It is weird, do you think maybe Sutton just wasn't happy in Pittsburgh and wanted to leave?

I think they are about the same skill wise. Edmunds is a year younger, cheaper, and they got an extra pick for Smith. To me it was the right move.

 

If every single "Front Office" guy said it, that means:
a. Cam left without a counteroffer.
b. They didn't really mean it and let him walk because they have plan 'a' ready.

$33 mil isn't huge.... there are many ways to best that.
You just don't let your 'smartest guy on the field' walk away at that price without some talk.

* I, personally, subscribe to my earlier post. That was the feeling I got from them.
I wanted to keep him, but maybe I am pinching pennies... I feel like Porter, if drafted, would beat him out.
