The Houston Texans with the 26th pick in the 2012 NFL draft select Mychal Kendricks LB Cal 6' 0" 240lbs. We believe that with the trade for Casey Matthews that Kendricks will provide position flexibility and allow coach Phillips to vary between the 3-4 and 4-3.

The Saints are now on the clock.

With the 29th pick in the draft, in an effort to strengthen a line that will be stressed by possible retirements and free agency, the Baltimore Ravens choose Mike Adams, OT, Ohio State.

The San Francisco 49ers are now on the clock.

With the 30th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers select:

    Alshon Jeffery, WR, South Carolina

The 49ers are thrilled to get the player they have been eyeing since the draft began, and did not have to trade up to get him. As a team we have been thin or empty at wide receiver for years and years. Michael Crabtree has proven to be an occasional playmaker, but needs the pressure taken off in order to contribute regularly. Alshon Jeffery gives the team a tall target with excellent hands and body control, capable of getting open and making the big play. Now playing with one of the best red zone QBs in the country, he also will be a tremendous red zone threat. We expect to insert him into the starting lineup for week 1, and would not be surprised to see him pull in double digit touchdowns and a rookie of the year award. With Jeffery, Crabtree, Vernon Davis, Delaney Walker, and Frank Gore taking the field every play, and Kendall Hunter, Kyle Williams, and Ted Ginn Jr. also thrown into the mix, a rapidly improving offensive line and a top-flight quarterback, the San Francisco 49er offense is ready to become the new face of the franchise and get this team to the Super Bowl.

Whoever is going to trade next year's first rounder to the Patriots is on the clock.

with the 32nd pick the NYG select:

    Coby Fleener, TE, Stanford

With no plausible ILB or OL available, the New York Giants round out their already impressive arsenal on offense. With plenty of weapons at wide receiver but only an injured Jake Ballard at tight end, this selection is just what the doctor ordered. Coby Fleener will be the latest overgrown receiver type TE to take the league by storm. With his massive size and athletic ability, big soft hands and neat footwork, he will give defenses fits in coverage and open up the Giants' offense one step further. Try and stop us now!

    ROUND 2 BEGINS

The Rams are on the clock.

With the #2 pick of Round 2, the Fantasy Indy Colts select Brock Osweiler QB, Arizona State. Our fantasy management team feels it would be best to take a raw talent and develop him behind Peyton Manning for year or two...obviously the real Jim Irsay had a different approach.

With the #3 pick in the second round, the Philadelphia Eagles finish their overhaaul of their defense by selecting Whitney Mercilus, DE/OLB, from Illinois. Mercilus proved at the combine that he has the speed and agility to convert to outside linebacker, where Philadelphia intends to use him. Plus, he has the greatest name in the world for a defensive player. The Eagles were shocked that he fell to a second round pick.

Tampa Bay is on the clock.

    Stephon Gilmore*, CB, South Carolina

with the 37th pick in the 2012 MB Mock the Browns select:

    Andre Branch, DE, Clemson

While there were a couple of other players we were eyeing with this pick...Branch is a potential first rounder and was too good to pass up (and since Mercilus was just taken he is the next best DE). Pair him with Sheard and we have a lethal combo of DEs. We also had a feeling there could be a run on DEs soon as there are a lot of talented DEs still out there and we felt that a lot of them would not last until round 3.

The Jags are on the clock.

With the 42nd selection of the 2012 Draft, the fantasy Indy Colts select Alameda Ta'amu, NT, Washington. Converting to a 3-4 defense will need to be anchored by a nose tackle, which we don't currently have. Too many holes to fill, but another addition to the defense will be much needed. A bit of a stretch this early in the 2nd, but I can't see him slipping to the 3rd round.

    Seattle... you're on the clock

with the 45th pick the Cowboys select:

    Kevin Zeitler, G, Wisconsin

The Cowboys could have gone a number of ways with this pick...however we felt Zeitler was a no brainer...he could go as early as the first round. And with many holes on the OL Zeitler will step right in as a starting OG!

    Philly is on the clock...

With the 46th pick inthe draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select:

    Amini Silatolu, G/T, Midwestern State

This choice comes after realizing the Eagles are one injury away from an O-line disaster, And Silatolu offers line flexibility that the other 2nd round gaurds and tackles don't offer.

The Jets are now on the clock.

The Jets are in severe need of a right tackle, so with the 47th pick of the draft, the Jets select Bobby Massie, OT, Ole Miss. We considered choosing another prima donna WR, but free agency is filled with some potential replacements. Wayne Hunter must go.

New England (via Oakland) is on the clock
