That is an interesting comment. And you do wonder if short QBs have a short time stamp. Doug Flutie in his last NFL turn had a very good 2 yr stretch in Buffalo, but he ultimately got figured out.

But you wouldn't ask Dan Marino to run a QB option or Daryle Lamonica to run a West Coast offense, Pete Carroll should be smart enough not to have Wilson do things he can't do well, in the last minute of the SB.

i still believe someday that one of the mobile college QBs will fundamentally change the model in the NFL. I thought maybe Wilson was the guy. Hell, two handoffs to Lynch maybe he still is. shortness is a disadvantage, but Wilson is mobile, can find the open guy deep, maybe that's enough. Maybe not.

I wouldn't say he has a short timestamp. I'm just saying that for those routes he needs either a clean passing window or the receiver "has" to run that route hard and block out the DB. The basic mechanics of where he's releasing that ball in comparison to a taller QB demand it.

He can definitely scramble out of danger though. He may only be able to do that for so long until he starts to slow down.
