Would love to hear everyones opinion

    My thoughts,

from a standpoint of trying to make the team .. These guys are locks

    * Dwyer.. You cannot even argue that
    * Rainey.. Two touchdowns from kickoffs. OMG.. ( Mundy reversed one)
    * C Batch.. This guy at 37 still has it.. Not sure how but I am giddy
    * Sanders. WTH was that. 87 yards..

There are others but I would be interested in seeing what you guys/gals think

I only saw the highlights on nfl.com, but...

-Hot damn, that throw and catch from Batch to Sanders was something. Great stuff there.
-Sean Spence looks like he is done for the year. Early reports are ACL tear, LCL tear, and dislocated kneecap. I believe it, looking at his anguish. Then again, I believed the early reports about DeCastro's ACL. I suppose there's a chance we get "lucky" twice.
-Will Johnson looks like he is who I hoped he would be. Makes me happy.
    -We have 4 good quarterbacks.
-I saw that Hampton played. Great sign.
-Rainey had 2 punt returns for TDs called back, both of which were great efforts for him, and his returns that still counted went for 16 and 24 yards? With DeCastro out, he's looking like a sure thing for Steelers ROTY. Too soon to hope for the Pro Bowl?

Rainey, Batch1 and Batch2, Sanders, Saunders, Johnson, Dwyer, Adams....enjoyed them all.

If its me I go with 5 Safeties, and 4 Corners. Mundy, Allen, Clark, Troy, and Golden......Ike, Allen, Brown, and Lewis.

I would take Victorian over Fredrick for the PS.

I think McFadden makes the roster now with Spence and Sly still out. I don't think Sly makes the roster without the Spence injury.

Hampton is THE MAN! Yes McClendon has had a beast...but Casey is simply a monster in the middle.

but one of my favorite moments was from Ikponmwosa Igbinosun #69 on D.....nothing happened...he did nothing to change the outcome of the play...he will be cut tomorrow....but on Carolina's last FG.....He jumped like 12 feet in the air....ball went up the middle...and he was on the outside...but holy cow did that guy jump.

Glad to hear that. None of his plays made the highlights (obviously), but I did see that he had a tackle or two. Can't wait to see it once it airs 3 weeks from now. And to think some doubted our NT position this year.

Also...No way DJ was going to beat out WJ IMO.....DJ might be the better blocker...but he isn't the athlete WJ is....DJ next handoff in a game will be his first.

One dimensional threat...Lolly bashed me when I said you need someone in the FB position that is at least an OPTION to do more.......SUCK IT LOLLY! =) LOL

(I actually like Lolly although its in comparison to Douchette, and Dulac......who are both still light years ahead of Madden)

You're right, DJ had no chance against WJ... but what do you mean he might be a better blocker? Will's preseason is better than any 4 game span in David's last three years. That includes the blocking. (Note: I haven't seen the Panthers game yet.)

Lolley is nothing more than a casual fan with access. I have zero respect for him as a professional.

I had to work last night so I didn't get to see the game and the highlights just don't show much. Can anyone talk about how the play calling looked? The stats showed that they run game looked like it was working and Charlie looked to have some nice throws. Granted that this was against guys fighting for a roster spot in Carolina but still I liked what little I did see.

Play calling was typical nothing really fancy but effective. Charlie looked wonderful, goes to show it doesn't matter if your 22 or 37 if you have time to throw, your going to make plays. Charlie had all day to throw other than a few times.

jerrod johnson played well, but batch really stepped up............. johnson will be on the practice squad and make the regular rotation next yr.
would like to see will allen cut........... too much dead money there imo
o-line looked good........ granted, it was against people who aren't making the panthers' team, but still a nice showing
too little, too late for maze
nice to see hampton out there
hate the spence injury (good luck on the recovery)
drew butler was a bit inconsistant, but still an upgrade over kap
can't wait to see saunders paired with heath this season

charlie looked good, but so did lefty and JJ was throwing some beutifully placed balls to receivers.

can we keep him on the PS? i'm afraid someone will snatch him. so, keep a guy that we know has one year or a guy that has a ton of upside for the next 5 years or more? i'd keep JJ and have charlie sitting by the phone. nobody is going to take batch away from us, johnson ? maybe. see told ya so. :lolol:

big hit for spence. hated to see that.

willj looks good. see told ya so. :lolol:

the backup line looks much better. tough cuts to come there.

i like victorian and golden. i wish there was a way for them to keep them both. i haven't heard anything about browns knee injury yet either.

i'm leaning towards robinson now making the lb spot. mcfadden and hicks have looked ok too. another tough cut there.

sanders can beat two guys deep. told ya so. :lolol:

sorry, bout the told ya so's.
we have a bunch of walking wounded and i hope a week is enough to get some back.
