What's even more confusing is the fact that Austin used double coverage via brackets by the Safeties to limit his production. Granted, the elements helped but game planning does as well.


I will be very intrigued to see what Tomlin has to say about this tomorrow as placing him in single coverage against Levi Wallace was either a tremendous amount of faith in Wallace or a major lapse in coaching.

 

Baby steps My Friend. Not sure He's ready for that yet. I believe they are just trying to build His confidence. Although I did think that I saw Him check at least once, but I'm not sure. I will watch again.

They definitely should have doubled him more, but the elements were a huge help in that game last season. Carr simply couldn't handle throwing in the cold.

Garroppolo made some huge mistakes last night, but he also put the ball right where it needed to be a lot more often than Carr did against the Steelers last year.
