I remember the 70s, some of the 80s, nearly all of the 90s and 00s, being a proud franchise that would have 10+ game streaks of sub-100 rushing yards allowed, several times. Several seasons giving up sub-100 RYPG.

Teryl Austin is a joke, was a joke when promoted. We recall his past DC experience, I think the Bengals, was embarrassing and somehow he has stuck around for so long I can't recall the DC prior to him. Was it Butler (another awful DC that just inherited the job without any interviews with GOOD DCs).

I have given up hope that the Rooney fmaily will wake the F up and insist on GOOD NFL coaches. After all, they've kept Tomlin around for 10 years too long.

I assume Austin and Meyer will get extensions some time this year, probably mid-season when we've already given up 240 points in 8 games.

 

No one can cover Wilson. This is trending dangerously in the wrong direction.
