Official Gameday Thread: Ravens Round 1

Twice. Once on the Ravens' last FG drive and at the end of the game. But, but, but they only gave up 16 points.

 

We had better team today but loose unbuttoned up in all three phases of game. We should have won three of of losses for sure and lost bengals win week one. No consistency is the trademark of our head cheerleader

Anyone else see 9-8 just to screw up the draft picks?

Just honestly asking but was it officially confirmed that these two hits were actual concussions or is this more possibly due to the Tua rule?

 

I expected them to win 6 or 7 games. The offense is about where I thought they'd be, in other words, struggling to score points. The defense is somewhat disappointing. I'm all too aware that in nearly every phase of the game, this is not a good football team.

 

Way far from good. Pathetic.

This rivalry is always close. But to think the defense was good?

Mitch came in after the head slam from a facemask on Pickett (concussion) and played pretty solid. I said he was playing like a boss. After that he throws 3 picks. So I will take responsibility for the loss.

I don't want to hear playoff talk. They are an average team.

 

Hmm, Chris Hoke's first critique was the defense allowing Baltimore to average 5.1 YPC and 215 overall.

 

Unfortunately, he sparked the Ravens with 3 interceptions .

 

Tomlin said in his presser that Pickett is in concussion protocol. Not 100% sure about Huntley, but I think it might be both a concussion and an ankle/leg injury.

 

Honestly, that emasculates a defense more than anything else and Hoke knows that. When they line up and everybody knows they are running the football and the D still can’t stop it that’s the most disheartening thing in the world for a defense. I can’t believe some on this board seem to be okay with that. The way the Rats dominated the LOS is unacceptable in any universe!

 

Spot on SF...I saw about 7 or 8 win season with a poor offense but I had high hopes the Steelers D would have been dominating.

I know there is a lot of debate about this game being more poor offense than defense but even looking at the entire season...I guess I was hoping for the 2000 Ravens D. lol Just my 2c

 

iThough a third string QB, he pretty much just handed the ball off. Tough to say we got beat by a third strong QB. We got beat by an offensive line.

When was the last time we stifled ravens running game? I think Hampton was still playing lol

 

Like I said, you turn the ball over three times and get none back, you deserve to lose. But the defense and special teams had fleas, too.

 

Glass half full or glass half empty? We held the other team playing with their 2nd and 3rd string QB to 16 points.

 

How the hell is this against the rules?
