Official Gameday Thread: Ravens Round 1

The game is not televised here but I hear Pickett is out with a concussion. Somebody alleviate my concerns please. This is the second concussion Kenny has had this season on what looked like fairly innocuous hits for NFL football, hits Ben would have shaken off and continued to play. I think I’m overreacting but I’ve got to ask the question…is Kenny built for AFC North football?

 

Sadly, I'm starting to think we don't have our long-term answer at QB. MT ain't it. And as much as I love KP, he seems too fragile for the position.

 

At least he’s taking chances and throwing the ball. But yeah, he still sucks.

 

Good Lord, you were guaranteed 3 points, if the play isn't there throw it out of the end zone. I would expect a HS QB to know that.

 

Why

 

I think that last throw is a perfect example of a QB not holding a defender. He looked at him then looked where he wanted to go. Almost as if he identified where he knows the pick would come from and took him to it.

He knows, but I think he may move a bit too quickly.
In short, calm down mitch!

He’s a small fellow gets tossed around like a rag doll and he has tiny hands

 

Pickett got slammed to the ground, it looks like his head hit the ground too.

Pickett is 6'3 220lbs that's not small .

 

He was slammed down pretty hard by Smith.

As for Ben's toughness, it's kind of out of the players hands at this point. Even if they want to go, the concussion spotters are not going to let it happen.

 

That guy should be ejected from the game anyway! That was a vicious facemask 100% intentional. Twisted his neck and slammed it into the turf.

 

Two things:

1. There is no quarterback controversy.

2. As soon as we’re inside the 40, send in Boz, no matter what down it is.

 

Under the new rules, Ben would have been removed from every other game.

Concussion protocol and having a concussion are two different things.

Also not liking gaffes on defense. Receivers more than once totally uncovered. Not too good on run defense either.

 

Mason deactivated for game/ which is also a dumb move for Steelers
