I do honestly think we would be better right now with Mitch ONLY if we hadn't drafted Pickett. I believe 100% that Mitch played the way he played earlier this season because he knew the rookie was one mistake away from taking his job. When you play tight, you play bad. He was afraid to make a mistake. Look how Mitch played in the Tampa game when he came in and knew there was zero chance of losing his spot. He was a different QB.

 

No he actually had a better preseason than Pickett and Mitch. He just wasn’t given a shot.
