Let's start a collection! All this guy does is make plays. Heart, smarts, toughness, athleticism. Flashes brilliance almost the way Polamalu did. There's no doubt he has been a huge contributor. He thrives in this defense and is so damn much fun to watch! Bring him back!

I was thinking about the same thing. Without the comparisons or including the Great Polamalu's name in it. :) I really like the young man's play & heart.

I'm in. I've been banging this drum for 2 years now.

Watt, Hilton, Minkah and Heyward are the most important pieces to our defense. (Apologies to Bush, but he still has lots to prove).

Mike Hilton is a beast. One of the best blitzing cornerbacks in the league.

Dupree is more important, but edge rushers are also a hell of a lot more expensive. Even with the knee injury, he would be a much tougher sign than Hilton, so I would happily see them keep the latter.

Dupree will not be in Black&Gold next season. Highsmith has shown in the limited time he has started that he can handle the position. He will only get better. And it won't take a boatload of time.

Dupree best have a solid #1 on the other side where ever he goes because he is far from that. I wish him luck.

Resigning Hilton should be a priority but the cost a solid playmaking corner will not be cheap.

We dragged our feet on this one. We could have signed him last year to a cap friendly 3 year deal.

Now we are gonna have to pony up big time. Hilton is one of the best nickel backs in the league.

I'll send my 401K even though it's a TSP if he disrupts Mahomes in the AFCCG. If we get there of course.

As good as he is, I hope Hilton understands his limitations. He is a very good slot corner, especially for blitzing and run support. If a team signs him to be a #2 CB, while he will get paid, he will struggle in that role. The question is will the Steelers pay him Nelson money, but keep him as a slot corner?

Hilton is pound for pound the best player on the team. They must resign him even if it means cutting guys

That interception he made with over the shoulder catch, a lot of other CB or safeties could not make the play.. We should do what it takes to resign him. Agree on pound for pound the best we have

Really like him and want him back. Wouldn't go as far as mentioning him and Troy in the same sentence though

Of course Troy has no equal. Merely pointing out Hilton's great instincts and propensity to make big plays at key times. Not too many guys can blitz with great timing, fly in to make key tackles, and hawk the ball whether it's on the ground or in the air. Hilton has great range and versatility. I guess that is what reminds me of Troy. The ability to freelance and just create impact plays.

I look for the Steelers to cut Joe Hayden and several others in order to sign Tj, Minka, and now Hilton.

I'm seeing Haden slowing down, I'd take the younger Hilton over him .

Hilton is the first Steelers DB to have 3 sacks, and 3 interceptions in a season since the 1990s.
