Tomlins a F'in Idiot and his team no longer respects him. Today was yet another example of this.

Wasn't trying to zing the OP. I really thought the three year extension Tomlin got was pretty well known. But as you said I'm assuming. And I repeat myself a lot. I know I give you crap as well but deep down we both know that we have no control over what this franchise does, it's just fun to pretend what could be. You live in KC don't you? Ever think of jumping on Chiefs bandwagon just for the hell of it in addition to being a Steeler fan.

Cowher had his faults but I feel like when he said an issue was gonna be fixed, it very often was. And coaches heads would roll whether it was warranted or not. It felt like the commitment was there whereas now it's stagnant.

There are. But I think you’re confusing people who are just tired of the redundant FMT postings and in reality want to move on from Tomlin with the handful of people who think Tomlin can do no wrong.

He’s not an idiot. Come on. He’s a good coach who’s just wore out his welcome with the Steelers. Sometimes a change is needed even if it’s not the right change.

While I am ready for a new Head Coach, it will not happen this year. If ARII had stones, he wouldn't have given Tomlin the extension and made him prove he deserved it. Tomlin will not be fired, but ARII needs to put the big pants on and tell Tomlin he no longer runs the defense. Then fire all his coordinators and whatever assistants need to be fired. Rebuild the the coaching staff so you can at least figure out which players can play.

The argument I always see from the from the pro-Tomlin camp: "He'll be hired within five minutes after we let him go".

My response: "So what?" The NFL recycles lousy head coaches like most people recycle handkerchiefs. See Pat Shurmer, Mike Mularkey, Romeo Crennel, etc. If Tomlin can't cut it in one of the best franchises in professional sports, what makes anyone think he'd be a success in Jacksonville or Houston?

No, he's a lucky idiot that wasted away great players careers while being hired by the most loyal NFL organization. There's nothing that stands out as being impressive with this guy.

An example I will use in another sport is Dan Bylsma former Pens head coach. He is now an assistant for an AHL minor league team. A Stanley Cup winner, not even the head guy for the minor team! In the sports world, it's what have you done for me lately and Tomlin could end up in a similar situation eventually depending on where his next stop would take him.

We’re just terrible it’s a miracle we’re five hundred. Tomlin is definitely in the blame category but so is Canada and the O-line and Ben. Can’t do much with a statue qb. It’s embarrassing the way they get beat. That said Tomlin should not be fired nor will he. Just wait until next year!!!

Tomlin should have been fired at least 3 years ago.

You're the one who claimed that "we all know the reason for that" Not sure if you mean the reason he hasn't been fired or the reason he's never had a losing season. Either way, I don't know the reason. Please enlighten....

It's pretty obvious and I'm not going to risk getting banned here. Suddenly everyone is an expert, whether it's related to football or whatever. I'd like to know how many on this forum have actually played or coached professional football, for example. It ok to criticize or post counter points but let's not pretend we really know it all.
