I nominate Foster Morris as the greatest troll on the board. Lava and Steel d Curtain are distant 2nd and 3rd.

The difference is Arians went and got another coaching job right away.

Noll actually retired and never coached again which actually backs up the claim that he didn’t want to deal with free agency.

You do realize they weren't the No. 7 seed both times, right?

Been at work, so just came back to the thread. This may be the most amazing take I have ever read. Racism is keeping ARII from firing Tomlin, because everyone would accuse him of racism if he fired a black head coach. Never mind that he has 15 consecutive non-losing seasons to start his coaching career, a record. Never mind that he has made the playoffs the last two years with a quarterback who was on his last legs when he got hurt three seasons ago. The only reason ARII is keeping him is racism.
Yup. Has to be it. This reasoning actually scares me.

Technically, it’s not “reasoning”. Reasoning by definition requires the action of thinking about something in a logical, sensible way.

    But, agreed.

Ben "on his last legs" threw for 33 TD and scored 26 ppg. "Oh poor Tomlin being saddled with a HOF QB all these years."

Tomlin's defense got blown up by Baker Mayfield. Ben scored 37 points and lost and you blame Ben and say "Ben is on his last legs." Hilarious! 501 yards and 4 TD!!! Last legs!!! So terrible!!!

I'd like to see what Brian Flores could do with our defense.

Can I get the Motorola Troll of the Year Award or does it not exist like the Motorola Coach of the Year Award?

Ok, you asked me to give you slack but you are making an even bigger fool out of yourself on this one.

Right off of the NFL site:

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is the 2008 Motorola NFL Coach of the Year, Motorola and the NFL announced Thursday.

Read slowly and think before posting. Try that on every post.

You left out the fact that Ben gift wrapped the victory to the Browns, he had 4 interceptions, and couldn't recover a fumble on the first play of the game giving the Browns a TD .

I guess you missed the fact that the Steelers were down, 28-0, with Roethlisberger failing to jump on the snap that flew over his head and throwing two of his four interceptions to help the Browns build that lead. Perhaps you should watch the games rather than just looking at the box scores when they are done.

Did Roethlisberger snap the ball to himself? You can't expect him to play above the rim at 38. Pretty sure Ben thought Conner had it so no need to risk getting injured and lose the game on the first snap. I watched the Cinci game in 2015 when Ben was injured by Burfict too. Better to not give a free shot to a defender if your RB is right there.

So Pouncey flipped the ball 10 feet in the air and Conner slid past it and it's Ben's fault? I disagree but moving on.

Second drive was a pick- Ben's fault he overthrew it.

Third drive ended on a 3rd and 1 where the highest paid FB in the NFL (who has 1 career rushing yard) failed to convert. Tomlin always loved the trickery of using the FB whose career rushing yards with the Steelers can be counted on one hand (finger in Watt's case) in crucial situations.

Since Lebeau was fired Tomlin's defenses are allowing 28 points per game in the playoffs, and it is forcing Ben to take risks.

The Browns had TD drives of 46, 65, 64 and 80 yards, and a FG drive of 59 yards. You can't put that 31 points on the offense. And you can't put the 7 on the bad snap on Ben IMO. :hehehe:

I didn't expect him to catch that snap. I expected him to fall on the fumble. Conner had the first shot at it, but Roethlisberger could have had it as well.

Funny how you stopped before the fourth touchdown, also set up by a Roethlisberger interception.

Huh? I'm the first one to say that if Ben throws 45 times he is going to turn it over at least twice.

The problem is that Tomlin has created a team that has no choice but to have Ben throw it 45 times.

The Steelers ran 16 times for 52 yards vs. the Browns for 3.25 ypc. The only option is a short passing game. That's it.

I just co-signed going old school on the Chiefs rocking the I formation because the same game plan Tomlin used vs. the Browns will fail vs. the Chiefs.

Does it hurt your back to keep dragging the goalposts all over the place like you do?
