Honestly I think Tomlin would be fine if he had a decent offensive coordinator. This defence isn’t terrible but they had zero chance today, getting put back on the field time and again by the offence

In all seriousness....whether justified due to circumstances like injury or other factors...I think your 100% correct on this prediction and the OC and DC will retire.

I unfortunately have learned on this board that I guess ownership is cheap like the Brown (Cinci ) family used to be so I dont have my hopes up for someone with a proven resume on this new possible coaching staff..

UC's head coach who is taking a bunch of no name players to a Championship playoff game. His players don't showboat and just perform every week. They could win by 1 point or 30 points and it doesn't matter they just go about their business to the tune of 13-0 so far.

The thing is that the Rooneys pay up to the cap each and every year so I don’t see how they can be called cheap, if you are paying out $200m plus in salaries trying to win a championship why scrimp on coaching?

I honestly think this hiring from within policy in relation to coaching is a deliberate thing. Who knows what their actual methodology is but I don’t think the coaching hire decisions are wholly financially driven

 

I would settle for both butler and canada being gone. However if all they do is promote assistants to those positions what's the point? Tomlin will be here until he decides it's time to go. So I don't get these fire tomlin threads. It will never happen.

 

Well I don’t decide what’s posted here nor should I.
I just don’t think some of you guys realize how ridiculous some of these threads are. And I don’t mean that in a bad way towards you. I could see if this stuff was posted to a place where the decision makers for the Steelers could see it, but people here have no influence on any of that. Just gets tiring. JMO

 

To add. I’m honestly surprised there’s not a sticky thread or one thread where these new Fire Tomlin/ Tomlin stinks posts get merged to.

 

But they do though. Steelers have one of the smallest and least paid assistant staffs in the league. Whether that's on purpose or Tomlin doesn't want to be upstaged, who knows.

 

You don't remember 2 years ago, last game of the Year, outcome decided, 50 yards from the end zone...

The Steelers threw a 2 yard crossing pattern to DJ on the last play of the game and he got annihilated ( causing him to miss the NEXT week )...... THAT'S, the kind of **** Tomlin does!


And when asked, plays it off as " we don't give up, give in BS! NO, If you weren't giving up, you'd throw a hail Mary! You're just stupid, and continue to be year after year!

 

But by that same logic, Urban Meyer would have succeeded. You just never know with college coaches.
