I'm pretty much in on Damien Martinez here. Still chewing over the possibility of RJ Harvey, but Martinez compliments the room better and is 2.5 years younger. He had some good looking tape the second half of the season. I've read rumors he played his way down from 235 lbs to 217 by the end of the season. So that could account for the slow start.

For some reason I thought Martinez was already picked.

Damien Martinez, RB, University of Miami

Martinez look really good the second half of last year in Miami's RPO-based version of the Air Raid. But he did well in Oregon State's zone-based running scheme the previous year as well - a system more similar to what Smith's have been in the past. On every-touch tape he shows good vision and burst through the first level, with some wiggle in the second. He also runs angry, often dragging would-be tacklers 3-4 yards a la Harris.

Like I said above, his weight transition through last year makes me wonder if the 215-220 range is best for him going forward, as his stats last year showed marked improvement after the halfway point. Looking at more of Harvey's film, I'm not confident his propensity of bouncing to the outside will translate well at the next level - even though he offers better speed.

Damn, what I really wanted here was a 2025 swing tackle that could someday develop into a starting OG, if both Jones and Fautanu pan out and play well.

But not seeing what I like still on the board, I will go with RB Damien Martinez

    I’ll cast my vote for:

    O’Donnell Fortune, CB, South Carolina

He’s adept at playing both man and zone. Generating 42.0 passer rating while in zone with a PBU and 2 Int’s and when playing man he had a passer rating of 73.4 with a PBU and Int.

Didn't realize Larry Brown's kid was in this class.
