The good news is our draft very rarely match the real thing.

I'm not in this same thought. Except Center. I have preached constantly that the Qb play makes, or breaks 90% of Wrs, and I haven't seen one draft in a while that didn't have good Wrs throughout the draft.

There is much more depth at WR and CB than many of you who voted realize....
You don't go bargain basement in the later rds with the anchor to your o-line.... might as well bring back Mason Cole with that thinking...we could've had Van Pran, while CB's like khyree Jackson, kris Abrams-Draine, Enis Rakestraw etc would still probably be around for the taking....
The board dropped the ball on this one

I agree with Wr, but not with CB. If We look throughout most years....more hits at Wrs are made in many late rounds. Outside of a very small few....the same can't be said for CBs.

If they really go offensive tackle and cornerback with the first two picks, they are in serious trouble on offense.

Disagree, there are some good 3rd round centers in this draft. JPJ is a total reach in the 1st round, and will be the next Terrell Edmunds on this team if the Steelers reach for him at #20. Actually JPJ could be worse than Edmunds, considering the greatest thing about Edmunds was his availability, and JPJ's injury history may rule that trait out.

Question: Would the Steelers move up in the 2nd round to get Frazier???

Just please take a center in the 3rd+ round that has actually played center for multiple years in college. (This is why I don't like Barton)

3rd round Centers: Van Pran 43 games at center,

I wouldn't mind if the Steelers fell in love with one of these late round Centers and decided to give up the Extra Late 3rd round pick they received for Pickett.
Round 4-6 The Smart Hunter Nourzad (Visit) or the Beast of the NFL combine BEAUX LIMMER.

Ricky Pearsall is a solid pick and I would like to throw Brenden Rice from USC into the discussion. Rice is Jerry Rice's son and is a big receiver at 6'3" and 215. He was Caleb Williams go to guy in the red zone hauling down 12 TD's for the Trojans last season.

I second this pick, hard to believe he's still available. Ricky Pearsall provides great value here in the 3rd round and fills our need for a WR.

We can look to address the center position with our later 3rd round selection at #98.

Make that another vote for Ricky. I think he would definitely make a nice compliment to Pickens. 4.41 speed, 3rd in the vertical jump at 41", 1st in the 3 cone drill, and 3rd in the 20 yard shuttle.

Great replacement for DJ. He is a 5th year senior who has played in 46 games and has a grand total of 1 fumble.

I will vote for Ricky Pearsall. I voted for him in the second as well. Great 3rd round value pick.

I thought Trojans were supposed to prevent surprises.

I guess being a Wide Receiver ups the odds. Lol

I go with whatever WR, or Center has the highest vote. I believe 3rd round would be ok for either.
I'd go with @blackandgoldpatrol if I thought we could get the votes.

That is funny as hell; I assumed Jeremiah Trotter was long gone by now.

I remember seeing him going to the Steelers at #20 in some early Mock Drafts. (Before the Queen Signing)

EDIT: Yeah I am going with the Batman and Robin Duo of Queen(24) and Trotter(21) for the next 10 years at ILB.

They met with Trotter at the combine, and then both Tomlin and Kahn went to Clemson's Pro Day.

I now Vote for ILB Jeremiah Trotter jr.

At that time, he was considered the #1 linebacker in the draft. Now he's #4 or so. To quote PFF- "Trotter is an incredibly smart linebacker who consistently puts himself in the right positions. However, his lack of length, size, and explosiveness limit his starting, and even rotational, potential on the NFL stage."

Basically, the Combine happened. He's short (6'0"), he didn't run the 40 or do either jump. Although his production numbers rank 2nd, his athletic numbers ranked him 23rd among LBs at the combine. Zierline has him as a 4th rounder.

That being said, my vote goes for the falling WR, Pearsall.

I'll make my official vote for Ricky Pearsall because we need a WR a lot more than we need an ILB.

Pearsall. Surprised he is still here. Don’t think they will be so lucky if they wait 3 rounds in the real thing.
