Now the Ravens can deal with Brown of another type! Splendid!
Wow new Steeler himself CB Nelson tweets out to Bush welcome to the Burgh. I think this guy is going to be a great signing
Then we pray he doesn't tear his groin and is never the same again.
If he has a similar rookie season, we're hoisting our 7th.
That's a bad pairing with Lamar.
This reminds me of John Ross: an undersized, injury prone receiver with nothing but speed and no one to get him the ball. And both drafted by AFC North Rivals. IN the first round! I feel good about this.
They're nuts if they think he dropped below 12 even.
I'm fairly positive Cinci would have snagged him... to prevent us getting him if nothing else.
Honestly when Bush flies in the screen in pursuit it reminds me a little of Troy.
Not a single CB off the board yet.
Crazy. I'm starting to wonder if moving up in the 2nd is a possibility.
Yeah I’m surprised. Deandre Baker first cb off the board.
So there goes Baker. I expect we will see a run on corners from now into the early second round.
NE is up. Please don't take Metcalf please don't take Metcalf please don't take Metcalf
Wow. So Metcalf slips to the 2nd.
I like Harry a lot but I never would have guessed Brown and Harry would be the first 2 off the board.
Me neither. It's very possible that AJ Brown ends up going off the board next and Metcalf still has a wait. Lots of great talent available in the 2nd. Bush has grown on me, but it would sure be nice to have a 2nd round pick
We could get back in but I think we sacrificed enough already unless one of our 6ths can get us up just a spot or two if there's someone we really like. I really don't want to have to trade a 4th or 5th to get back in.
. I wonder what Joe Greene thought of that get up? I hope he plays better than he dresses. That was terrible.
Atypical first round.
Two TE's, and both from Iowa, taken before a single WR or CB.
Excepting the QB's taken, because QB's are different, the pick in the first I like the least is Hockenson. He just doesn't look like the kind of gamechanging impact player that justifies the 8th pick. At least not to me. The pick I like the most is Ed Oliver at 9 by the Bills.
As for Bush, we'll see, but I give the Steelers kudos for identifying their man and going for him aggressively. Based on the trade value chart they slightly overpaid, but not by a lot which sounds to me like a fair draft day deal.
Edit: Jesse James can't be too happy about the Lions picking Hockenson. He just saw his PT drop significantly.
WattWack is laying in wait under a new assumed name.
There's a couple hiding in the Bush-es.....
172 total tackles
18.5 tackles for loss
11 passes defended
0 forced fumbles
David Long jr.:
246 total tackles
169 solo tackles
39.5 tackles for loss
10 passes defended
2 forced fumbles.
both in 3 years. Both 4.4 guys. Both the same size essentially. I don't see the value and how Bush is by far the better player that is a must have.
You got that right!
