    Question about Bates, I haven't seen much of him just the highlights on youtube and you know they make everyone look good, lol. If there much of a difference between Bates, Reid and Elliott and if we went ILB do you think one of these guys would be there when we pick in the 2nd?

    Reid is the best overall safety of the 3. Can play FS or SS.

    Bates is not far behind. More of a Centerfield FS.

    Big drop off between those 2 and Elliott in my opinion.

    I think of the 3 only Eliot might be available at #60. No guarantee he is there though.

    Thanks for the response, interesting like I said can't find much on Bates but Youtube and he and Elliott looked a lot a like. They both have ball skills but both laid some big hits, again I point out it was youtube.

    I believe the Wake games vs Clemson, Florida St and Texas A&M are on youtube.

    I vaguely remember him during the season. It's when Mayock and Daniel Jeremiah were raving about him I took more notice. They see him as the best Centerfield FS in the draft.

    He's no Malik Hooker though.

    He's a little lanky that I wouldn't see him as a consistent big hitter, especially at the NFL level.

    I don't think I'd take him at #28 but no way he lasts until #60. When I say I wouldn't take him at #28 I just wouldn't have him as anywhere close to BPA. It would be a pure need pick.

    Nice post wish we could get him at 60. I was just curious so I pulled up some mocks and they have him all over 60th, 50, 58, 104 & 59. 4 of 5 are close to us maybe in real life we move up a few spots????

    This would be ideal. Not having a 4th is killer though.

    Like last year when the Safeties flew off the board before our 2nd pick, i can see a similar scenario playing out this year.

    I will point out that Tomlin is a serious H/W/S guy, and Evans just hasn't shown it. He's had three chances to run the 40 (The combine, Alabama Pro Day One, and a second Alabama pro day on Wednesday) and he hasn't run. His verticle is 30", and long is 9' 8".

    The tape don't lie.

    I'm not sure what his 40 is, I would guess 4.65ish. But his short area COD and explosiveness are evident.

    I give LVE credit for a great workout at the Combine, but nowhere in his game tape do I see the athlete that Evans is.

    @NY STEELERFAN , looks like you got your answers about Bates. I agree with NB, no way he is there at 60, would be a steal if he was though.

    Well there has been a lot of talk on here about Bates I am sure he won't be there in this draft however he is around our pick in many mocks FWIW in the real thing.

    Mason Rudolf is my vote need to find a replacement QB for the Future and i love this kid. He is a steal in the late 2nd!
