DL Coach Mitchell just had a presser. Here's some notes:

Says he's not worried about his weight. With the nutrition plan in place and daily work, his weight won't be a problem.

He did the double team well in college, and that's what we want most especially when we bring the safety in the box.

Coach Mitch was happy he got him when we got him.

Gonna start him off at nose and see how he does and take it from there.

The back up nose has to be able to know how to play end.

Can't answer if Casey will be ready to play.

Gonna start from scratch when Ta'amu gets here.

College is behind him, what's here is in front of him.

He's a NT that we feel he can get penetration everytime.

We keep it simple, you eat up two, someone else will make the play.

Hold your opinion about mcclendon until the season is over.

Garrett Giemont will determine where he needs to play at.

Then, coach Mitch will get him and determine where he'll go from there.

They'll take their time and determine where he'll play.

    30 credits from graduating.

    End

LOVE the pick!!! As others have said, I wouldn't have been upset if we took this guy in round 2. And to get him in 4?!? Pumped!!

it wouldn't suprise me if they use our 7th to move up in the 5th like they did with the 6th in the 4th.

I don't think it matters what happens from here on out. This has been a successful draft. Ta'Amu is a HORSE! 6'3" 348???!!! Get outta here!

With 3 extra 7ths, it would make sense - if they can find a buyer.

not a move i expected... not sure how i feel about Rainey yet. has to be purely special teams if anything. they're already stacked for the most part at RB.

Not the type of RB we had before.

    Chris Rainey:

10 yard split: 1.47, best at combine
20 yard shuttle: 3.94, best at combine
60 yard shuttle: 11.06, best of all RBs
3 cone drill: 6.52, best at combine

Mayock says he had some off the field issues and if he cleans it up and keeps nis nose clean then the Steelers have stolen a real Gem. Can catch, return kicks, very fast scat back

With all these 7th round picks, they just have to be looking at a DB. The question is, are there any left that could make an impact this year?

Safety maybe, got a lot of 2nd and 3rd year CB's from much earlier rounds.
