No no no, another 5'11" lb? Are you kidding? These are the guys they let choke the hell out of and not call holding.

Sean Spence don't like this pick too small 5'11 230 lbs in a 3/4 defense he will struggle.

Not who I expected. One thing I do know about him...he really needs to see the weight room.

is it possible that he might be converted to a safety? ala Carnell Lake?

    He runs a 4.7 40.

We need to get a good 4th rounder to make up for this.

    What have they seen?

As of now Spence is an ILB according to Butler...just being shy of 6' he doesnt seem to worried about him. I thought Spence was more a 4-3 guy...but hey I trust the Steelers...especially when it comes to LBs...there havent been too many that have flat out sucked (Jackson)

Also Spence will be the backup mack to Timmons. Sly Sylvester, according to Butler, is the future buck.

    Some good news ?

Mayock's take: "One of my favorite football players on tape. He's one of the more instinctive linebackers in this draft. In the 3-4 scheme in Pittsburgh, he's going to have to play outside or that Will linebacker inside. Either way, I don't care, because I really like the way he plays."

The only thing I dont like about the Spence pick...is unless they move him to S...or the other ILB position...I dont see him being a starter...and I hate wasting early picks on players who wont be starters.

He's a solid player and all...but yeah...I know we'll have to wait and see...but still.

    There were NT's in waiting?

Can he replace Farrior? If not it's a totally wasted pick.

According to Coach Butler...Sly is the supposed successor to Farrior...Spence will backup Timmons and play ST. Which is why I said what I said.

If they say would have taken one of the NTs available...you know they will be the successor to Hampton.

Again not saying he wont contribute or be a solid player...shoot he may end up starting somehow...I dunno...but thats just how I look at it.

I have hard time seeing him being a starter too. He is too small to be the Buck so that means for him to start he would need to beat out Timmons???!!!! Ain't happening.

3rd round picks need to be future starters.
