The film version is different than Hoke's version of Adams' play on the first sack. He's not driving his man back 10 yards, he's doing all he can to keep up with him (unsuccessfully). He's holding him because he's getting beat.

I thought Lee looked pretty good, though I'd like to see him be a little more aggressive. He should be punching that defender at the second level, not waiting to get hit and react. All in all though, I thought he showed potential and was pretty solid.

How's Lee looking in practice? Is he getting any work with the twos?

As I have said, there really are only TWO good ball players on this unit,
Now if Coach Kugler can get the other so called Ol up to an acceptable
playing form. We may have something. If Todd Haley was smart especially the first couple
weeks lets say til the bye, the STEELERS would be a run DOMINANT TEAM, atleast until
you get these YAHOOS on the right page.

I couldn't really say. I've heard very little about him throughout camp. There was an interview and some notes about him this morning by Jim Wexell. When Coach Kug was asked about him, he said:

"He’s a tough kid. He’s raw. He’s physical. He plays to the whistle, so that’s something that we like. He’s got a ways to go, but he’s got the right attitude when it comes to that."

When asked about his performance against Philly, Lee said:

"Yeah, I played solid. Still got some technique things to clean up and everything, but I just tried to go out there and take care of the things I can take care of and play hard and finish and let everything else take care of itself."

Would love to see this Lee kid make the squad even though it might push Legs down the depth chart eventually.

adams will get better (hopefully)..........foster is what he is and will never be anything different.............. decastro will be a pro bowler.......gilbert will be solid........ the only reason essex is still in a steeler uniform is position flexibility........ he may actually be serviceable inside, but is a total waste on the outside..................
beechum is in the same boat...... on the inside, he has upside..... the coaches are fools to play him at either tackle position.

When we drafted Adams i thought it was premature to believe we could insert him in the starting lineup right away. They should of left the offensive line with:
Gilbert, foster, Pouncey, Decastro, Colon and gave him the entire season to develop. We could of still signed Starks and gave him more time to rehab. I think he will eventually get better and be an outstanding tackle for the future.
