Odds of Antonio continuing his 5/50 streak?

I wouldn't be surprised if the streak is over this week or next if Vick continues to play.

By 5/50 I mean the 5 catches 50 yards a game streak he has going.

 

I almost started this same thread yesterday but figured I'd jinx him. I don't think it's safe just because they will probably rely on the running game a lot more. Need to roll Vick in order to see AB shredding corners and safeties. I don't think any quick shots to him will be nearly as effective. Chemistry just can't be there just yet.

 

I started a thread about this the other day and got blamed for him getting hurt so I'm staying out of this. LOL! I WILL say this though. Tim Brown caught passes from like 20 different qb's in his career and still put up numbers good enough for Canton. I think AB is Canton worthy as well. So I honestly won't be surprised if he manages to keep it up because he's just such a special player that he can catch anything in his area. We also might not should forget the fact that IF our d can keep them out of fg range AB will maybe have a chance for a deadly punt return.

There is a very good chance that streak will end in within the next couple of weeks.

I think it will continue. If not, it wont be for lack of trying! There has to be a certain level of comfort tossing AB the ball no matter what your name is at QB.

 

I think it is over, if I were the Gayvens I would be right up on the line not giving Vick a chance to get rid of the ball. After watching Vick Sunday I wouldn't be to worried about him going deep, load up the box and play tight on the wr's. This sucks I hope Vick plays better and proves us all wrong......

 

I don't care who the QB is, AB is going to get his catches.

 

Its the yards after the catch that will be important for the next 4 weeks

 

Vick still has a cannon .He can throw a very good deep ball.

 

I really don't care about his personal stats, get us a win

 

No such thing as a "quick shot" with Vick, his windup is way too slow.

But to answer the OP question - I think he gets his 5/50, but not sure how much longer with Vick behind center. I believe the 14 straight 7+ catches is in serious jeopardy Thursday night though.

 

I have been watching some all 22 on the Rats and there DB'S are as bad as ours . We will have to pass the ball , I first thought we would go run Heavy , but after watching there DB'S tackle this will be a great week for the WR rub route game . I think Brown will get a bunch of quick passes as a result the string should continue .

I don't think he keeps the streak going personally. Brown was only targeted once after Ben got hurt and it was thrown right at the defender.

 

He can't throw it if he can't hang onto it. Vick has always had a cannon there is not argument there I just hope he can protect the football.

 

i think he will continue the streak, hes the best receiver in the league vick just has to get it in the area and ab will come down with it

 

I was thinking the same thing. That streak is going to hell this week or the next.

 

Ding! I would take odds that Vick will be injured before Brown keeps his streak.

i think he can keep it alive. my problem is our wr's staying healthy. vick seems to put them into big hit scenario's with his short passing.

Depends how much he is targeted, and the ball delivered on time.
Get the ball to AB and let him take it from there.
